My favorite thing about DIY projects is that they are completely custom and can be suited to any home/style. Why not have a little fun and try out some of these farmhouse decor DIY projects this weekend? So go get your hands dirty and build something for yourself. Keep scrolling for tons of inspiring farmhouse decor DIYs. 1. Wood Box Center Piece Every dining table needs a center piece, and I’ve found the perfect farmhouse wood box center piece. This simple little box is so versatile and you can easily change up the decor you place inside depending on the season. I love the fresh flower in a mini mason jar look though. Check out this post by Love Grows Wild for all the details. She even shows you how she painted and distressed her box! 2. Turn Buckle Shelf These little DIY shelves by Lolly Jane are dripping in farmhouse style. I love the mix of black metal and dark stained wood. This is the perfect functional DIY for a bathroom, kitchen, or bedroom. 3. Farmhouse Kitchen Labels This has got to be one of the easiest farmhouse decor DIY projects out there. All you need are some glass food storage containers (easily found at IKEA) and a few labels with a farmhouse font. You can purchase the ones in the photo here, or you can get creative and make your own! This little touch will add a dash of farmhouse flair to your kitchen. Re-purposed Glass Bottle Vase I love a DIY that involves recycling an old product into something completely new. This farmhouse inspired vase by Shanty 2 Chic is the perfect table top decor for spring time. They re-purposed a few glass soda bottles and fashioned them into a wood box center piece. This DIY project is totally easy and under $10. Check out their full post with free plans here. 5. Custom Wood Sign Wood signs are a great addition to any farmhouse decor. This DIY project is a simple one and the optimizations are endless! All you need to do Is stain a piece of wood, apply vinyl stickers in any phrase your heart desires, and paint! Its that simple. I actually made one of these for a good friend ages ago. Its such a simple craft and its quite fun! Absolutely perfect for all of us not so skilled calligraphers. The only things you’ll need is an old thrift store frame (you can pop out the art that comes with it and toss, or re-donate) and secure chicken wire to the empty space left behind. I love the vintage photos, used in this shot, but get creative! Jamie from Anderson and Grant, the genius behind this creative DIY project can talk you through all the steps here. 7. Farmhouse Memo Board Every functional house needs a memo board. It helps keep the fridge clear of unsightly magnets and its fun and easy to leave notes or reminders behind! This easy DIY project uses the same principals as the picture frame tutorial above. So basic and cute you’ll be banging your head against the wall wondering why you didn’t think of this first! DIY Blanket Ladder A blanket ladder is essential to all farmhouse living rooms. Perfect storage and display space for all your coveted blankets. I am definitely a blanket hoarder, can’t leave home goods without picking up a new cuddly blanket. This DIY project is so cheap and easy, put it on the to do list this weekend! I am 100% guilty of overloading those mini shelves with as meany coats as possible and today it caught up with me. On the bright side this huge wall shelf/ coat rack DIY by Liz Marie Blog will totally cover up the holes in my drywall left behind by my old coat rack. Isn’t patching and painting drywall THE worst? 10. DIY Picture Shelf Make this DIY wood picture shelf for $20 in under 30 minuets! A great way to casually display family photos or decorative farmhouse items. You can easily change out the decor to accommodate seasons or holidays without having to re-hang photos. Fantastic! How perfectly styled are these shelves by Christinas Adventures? 11. Farmhouse Stencil Pillow Nothing says farmhouse decor like a stencil pillow. This tutorial will walk you through the whole process from how to paint the stencil AND how to sew a pillow. I don’t know about you but I’m always looking for great pillow tutorials. How cute does this pillow look in her breakfast nook? Farmhouse decor is all about the little custom details that will make your house a home. 12. Reclaimed Wood Wall Shelf Check out this cute and easy wall shelf tutorial by Making it In The Mountains. This simple DIY can be used as a wall candle holder or to hold a mini vase and a few fresh cut flowers as shown below. This is the perfect accent piece to break up that farmhouse gallery wall. 13. DIY Rustic Curtain Rods Creating a farmhouse styled home is really all about the details. These rustic curtain rods are a perfect addition for any farmhouse living room.
