Nourish Beauty Box June 2019
Nourish Beauty Box June 2019 | I Know all the Words : : : press sample : : : I don’t know how I’ve felt about blogging lately, perhaps a bit stagnant, but something that always works to perk me up (so to speak) is something new. A new product, or in the case today, a new (at least to me) subscription box. The team at Nourish Beauty Box reached out on Instagram, and I just had to see what they had to offer. I mean, who doesn’t like a little box of surprise beauty goodies every now and then? “It’s simple – We believe in product integrity. Beautiful products which are not loaded with toxins and chemical names that you can’t pronounce. No parabens, triclosan, pthalates, GMO or pesticides. Just all natural, organic, wild crafted goodness. We aim to inspire you in your search for healthy, radiant skin.” Nourish Beauty Box is a monthly subscription box that is all about better-for-you beauty products (think cruelty-free, natural, vegan, etc) with boxes including four full-sized makeup and skincare products each month. What is especially great, is that they also make all the products from their boxes easily available for purchase on their website, meaning you can easily re-up on something if you end up loving it. Oh, and they also offer previous month’s boxes as well, which is a great idea for gifting. Dirty Lamb Invisible Body Milk 60 ml ($26 USD value) As mentioned, each month includes four full-sized products, but as it turns out one in this box is actually a travel-size. granted, it’s still a decent size, but not full in terms of what the brand offers. Anyway, that product happens to be one of two skincare products, specifically the Dirty Lamb Invisible Body Milk. Now, to me it’s more of a butter, and it’s actually for face and body, but whatever. The moisturizer is formulated to ‘seep into creases and leaves behind a plump, youthful finish and pleasant herbaceous scent.’ It’s not what I would call herbaceous, as it’s full-on tea tree, but the whipped formula (of shea butter, coconut, sweet almond, grapeseed, and hemp seed oil.) Wyldflower Labs Hibiscus & Fruit Acids Toner 50 ml ($9.99 USD value) The second skincare product in the box is the Wydflower Labs Hibiscus & Fruit Acids Toner. I was quite pleased to see this, as I do love misty face things, but I found this to be very fragranced. While it does boast an impressive list of herbal / botanical extracts, it also has added fragrance that is just a bit much for my liking. The formula is designed to be oil-controlling AHA fruit acids, witch hazel to reduce breakouts, and a host of aforementioned good-for-skin extracts. Peony Cosmetics Chameleon Powder Pigment in Attention Seeker 2.3 g ($18 USD value) I LOVE that Nourish Beauty adds cosmetics to their boxes. We all know what it’s like to get a box each month that is supposed to be a bit of everything but never actually has much in the way of colour. This box includes the amazingly pigmented Peony Cosmetics Chameleon Powder Pigment in Attention Seeker. The loose shadow is not only a stunning rust shade, but the formula is soft and buttery, intensely pigmented, and surprisingly not messy. Seraphina Botanicals Blush & Highlight Brush ($22 USD value) The quickest way to most beauty lover’s hearts is a great makeup brush, and the Seraphina Botanicals Blush & Highlight Brush is exactly that. The pearl-finish handle and rose gold ferrule pair with the perfectly soft bristles to make one excellent brush. I am more than happy to make a little room in my collection for one more brush. Nourish Beauty Box June 2019 A Nourish Beauty Box will set you back $29.95 USD a month (there is some savings to be had though if you auto-subscribe for a three or six month subscription). It doesn’t look like they have a set guaranteed value for each box, but the June box is valued at $75.99 USD, so there is a pretty great value to be had. Overall, I quite like this box and the Nourish Beauty Box philosophy. This is a great little box for anyone, but especially those looking to transition to more natural beauty products.
