This is a very beautifully colored antique silk ribbon from the early 1900s. Though not marked the ribbon appears to be a silk or silk blend. It is very soft and pliable in hand and of a thinner nature (with a slight look of grosgrain, but not nearly as thick). The ribbon possesses a subtle shimmer common with silk ribbons of this era. This color is ALMOST GONE – and once gone, gone.
The color is a lovely stunning pale sage or celery – adore it. The ribbon is in unused condition off its original card showing very mild fading / patina in some areas, possibly a pin prick – but for the most part in excellent condition for a trim of this age.
