This is a charming antique picot edge ombre ribbon from the early 1900s – being sold by the yard – I am thinking 1920s but may be older. This type ribbon was preferred for making the leaves in ribbonwork jobs and other accents. You can make several leaves out of a yard of ribbon. Bow determines around 7/16 & quot; & quot; to outer edge or picots.
Ribbon is a pale color with a tip of blue tone with yellow stripe – charming.
It remains in gorgeous unused shape off the original card. I believe the ribbon to be a cotton/ rayon mix – soft in hand and pliable. Due to its age there might be small age finding or fading, common with trimmings this old.
