Art Deco Ruby Filigree Ring, Striking Marquise Shaped Ruby, Lacy Filigree in 14K White Gold with Flower Blossoms by Franziska
192,00 USD
This striking ring has lovely Edwardian to Art Deco Design, with the punch of color that just a ruby can provide …
Crafted of strong 14K white gold, the ring features a huge bezel-set laboratory ruby in a vibrant marquise shape, surrounded by dainty flower blooms and fancy filigree information.
Measuring approximately 15 x 7 mm, the synthetic lab-made ruby(the stone does test as ruby, not glass. Lab rubies were first established in 1902.) is estimated to weigh around 1.35 carats, or two. It’s color is a really brilliant and rich pinkish-red. With an actually good expensive cut, it sparkles and glows and has terrific clarity. In beautiful condition, I see just extremely, very light wear to the stone under magnification … it looks spectacular to the naked eye. Some of the original milgrain is still present along the edge of the ruby’s bezel, but some has actually smoothed with time.
Extra milgrain edges the base of the stone’s setting, in addition to a small flower blossom and leaves, set to either side. Foliate design filigree decorates the shoulders and undercarriage of the ring, enabling lots of light into the ruby and providing the ring a lacy and light view the finger. Leafy or wheat style detailing continues down the shoulders and a little ways down the band.
Womanly yet genuinely striking on the hand … the face and upper shoulders of the ring procedure roughly 18 x 15 mm, with an increase off the finger of around 5.2 mm.
Still in excellent condition, the band retains it’s mark of & quot; & quot; 14K & quot; inside the ring. The overall weight of the piece is 2.65 grams.
