Titled Intrepid, this art quilt illustrates your choice to captain your ship and manage your fate. You’ll discover actual, hand applique in this quilt, not the fusible variety! I thoroughly selected my materials: sheer and light-weight to illustrate the rare, ethereal and fragile nature of nerve; pink, salmon, caramel and golden pumpkin to portray the inner fire of the will to overcome fear and doubt; teals and blues to communicate the willpower to remain the course. To top off all this, I used blue-green and gold to rise from the base, circulation through the flower, and float as bubbles released into the environment.
All stitching in this unique art quilt is done by hand (the binding, not shown in the image, is machine stitched). A 4.5 & quot; & quot; sleeve is on the reverse. The quilt measures 33 & quot; & quot; wide x 57.5 & quot; long including the binding. This quilt was intended as a wall or screen piece because it can not be washed or dry cleaned.
