  • “I made this for 4th of July neighborhood cookout. It was really delicious.I did cut the sugar in half, used Jardine’s barbeque sauce (about 1 cup) and Kraft’s sweet onion mustard. Then baked the beans in the oven for one hour.My husband, who swore he would never eat beans ever again in his life, loved them…said they tasted more like sweet potatoes than beans! Thanks for the recipe.”

  • “This is the Best recipe for Baked beans I have ever tasted. It was really simple too. Try it!”

  • “I chose this recipe because I liked the additions of Worcestershire sauce, red and green bell peppers and the garlic, I zmailed the chef to inquire just how much beans are to go into this recipe and he promply replyed back to me, I used a 48-ounce can of pork and beans and 2 large onions along with 3 tablespoons fresh minced garlic, I also added in 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped, I was very pleased with how this recipe turned out, it is a very rich and flavorful bean recipe, so this recipe has my 5 stars for sure! thank you for sharing this Douglas!…Kitten:)”

  • “This is now my go-to recipe for when my brother barbecues for the family – everybody loves them. I use 2 large cans baked beans – I think 28 oz. each – and rinse them as directed. And I do only use a cup of brown sugar and a bit less bacon. After I saute the bacon and the veggies I dump it all in a crockpot on high for a couple of hours. Excellent – and easy!”

  • “I used 2 cups light brown sugar and a whole lot of garlic, I loved these beans. They are the best ever!”

  • “Basically, a good recipe. However these beans are way too sweet! I’d cut the brown sugar down to a cup at the very most.”

  • “I made these beans for my family at Easter.I thought it would be enough for leftovers.WRONG! Best baked beans I have ever eaten.”

  • “there aren’t enough stars for this recipe!!!!Made it for hubby and fam on Father’s Day with a slow cooked Boston Butt and fresh corn. The flavors were amazing!!I didn’t have the bell peppers but it was fabulous without it!The garlic took on a smoky flavor with the bacon and worchestire…I will never eat plain ol’ canned beans again!!Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!!”

  • “5 stars!!My family and friends LOVED it!I didn’t have any green pepper (only red) but it was wonderful anyway.I went ahead and put it in a casserole dish and baked it and it was the perfect consistancy.A keeper for sure!!Thank you so much for the recipe!”

  • “I made this for the first time for a potluck/barbecue at my job a year ago. I was given the task of providing the baked beans. Searched high and low for the best recipe. At that time it read #10 can. No one I asked knew what that meant. I just crossed my fingers and gave it a try. It came out perfect! Received so many compliments! Thank you.”

  • “These beans are the best I’ve ever tasted. They’re in my crockpot right now and will be going to the family reunion. Thanks for sharing, Douglas!”

  • “I added link sausage to the beans and they were the biggest hit ever. Sorry for posting so late. I served these on the 4th of July and everyone raved over them. Thanks for posting such a great recipe. “

  • “I liked this recipe very much- so easy and delicious. Thank you Douglas!”

  • “When we moved to Illinois from Ohio I was VERY upset that they didn’t sell my favorite canned baked beans here. After finding this recipe I don’t care if they ever do sell them here!SUPER easy to make!I adjusted them the second time (omitted the peppers, doubled the bacon and used mostly light brown sugar with a little dark since I didn’t have a hold pound of the dark). This is exactly what baked beans were meant to taste like!Definately give this one a try!It is sure to be as much of a hit as your house as ours!”

  • “My son, the baked bean expert gave this one a thumbs up!!”
