  • ” Easy,Peasy as they say!! a great change from potatoes and rice. I used fat free sour cream and cottage cheese, didn’t make any difference I’m sure , the taste was still there and what a taste, wonderfull!! A real keeper, thanks for sharing Tebo!! — posted Apr 21, 2002,2 members found this helpfulUPDATE:September 22/04, made this for supper and used 2%plain yogurt instead of the sour cream, worked great! We had it as our main course, with garlic toast and a green salad. Great, tastey meal thanks again!!”

  • “We really liked this dish. I used ff cottage cheese and plain yogurt instead of sour cream. It came out really creamy and flavorful. There are so many ways to mix this dish up. I’m looking forward to experimenting. Thanks so much for posting your recipe.”

  • “I was living in a foreign country this summer and had trouble finding things to cook.I discovered this recipe and it became a staple of mine and I’ve continued making it once I came home.In addition to the onions, I added sauteed mushrooms to the mixture.I also smashed up corn flakes and topped the casserole with them and then dotted the entire thing with butter – yummy! It is good as it is or with some spaghetti sauce on top. Thanks for the terrific recipe.”

  • “Wonderful! My one sister doesn’t care for “macaroni & cheese” in any identity. When I served it, she took a small bite. Then another. Then another!Said I could have this anytime!Thnx for making a believer. The only change I made was to add just a little more garlic. Will have this again, obviously.Thnx for posting, Tebo.”

  • “What a great twist on a noodle kugel! Savory and delicious, hard to stop eating, no wonder you say 6-8 servings. I thought, no – this is more like 12, but you were right, how can you eat so little? Delicious flavor! I do believe it could be put in the oven at higher heat, for a bit longer, but otherwise, used all low fat ingredients and came up with 4WW Points per serving (for 6 servings). Served with recipe#102139 and recipe#170613, and it was perfect!”

  • “We all loved this. It was quick and easy to make and pretty much fool proof. I used 1 lb of the fine egg noodles but just doubled the cottage cheese and sour cream which where both low fat. I kept the worcestershire at 1 tbsp and glad I did as we aren’t fond of the strong taste but it gave it just enough kick. I left out the tabascoo and the onion. I think next time I may try either sauteing the onion with the garlic and then tossing it with the pasta or using dried onion and garlic powder as I found that the pieces of garlic did not cook well in the casserole. I served this with a tossed salad and garlic bread. Even the 6 year old picky eater finished her plate without complaint. Thank you for posting this great weeknight meal.”

  • “This was good, but not what I expected.Very bland.”

  • “Very good noodles! A little different flavor than we’re used to…but good. Thanks!”

  • “Very tasty dish.I also used ff yogurt and ff cottage cheese.Definately a keeper.”

  • “This was a good side dish and I will be making it again. It offers something a bit different with interesting favors.I think I used more pasta than called for and should have compensated with more liquids, but even without doing that the result was good and still fairly moist.”

  • “Was going to post this and then found it was already here. I make this once every couple months as it is one of my favorites! I always eat it as a main dish and get about 3-4 servings that way (depending on how hungry I am 🙂 The recipe I have always used calls for a *small* onion and a dash or 2 of cayenne instead of Tabasco. Also, 1/2 tsp salt and black pepper to taste and no parsley.”

  • “The cottage cheese was very strong as was the tast of the Worcestershire sauce. My hubby and I weren’t huge fans. Thanks for the recipe though, I love trying new things.”

  • “Wow… Delicious and Easy!!My hubby and I really loved this dish — what a different and delightful side dish… just great for a change. The only problem I had was with the “one onion” designation… I think my onion must have been much bigger than your onion :)I stopped about 3/4 of the way through chopping, and still could have used less, as I will be sure to do next time.It was still wonderful, though, and we thank you so very much for this terrific recipe!Dianne”

  • “I thought this was fair. My mom gave it a five but it’s a hassle to make. probably won’t make this again.”

  • “Great side dish. Super quick to prepare and not too cheesy and oily. Enjoyed this heaps. Thanks for the recipe, good comfort food.”
