  • “I have a recipe for golden syrup dumplings on Zaar, but I don’t think I’ll make it again after tasting these dale!! I halved the cinnamon, and 1 banana didn’t look enough, 2 was too much, but that’s what I used, and then used less milk. The dumplings were moist and really tasted of banana and the toffee sauce was great, and plenty of it.”

  • “We made this for dessert tonight and had 2 dumplings each. The rest of the mix is there & I may just have another :)The dumplings tasted a little floury, so next time we have a banana-cakey-pudding-kinda-craving we may just, like Jan, put the rest of that 2nd banana in for good measure. Thanks for sharing, dale! :)”

  • “Very nice! Easy to make and tasted great. I did make the mistake of eating too many dumplings and feeling a little queazy though! Will deffinately make again!”

  • “this was terribly good… the only problem was we didnt have any icecream! or yogurt! or even whipped cream! i thought we did when i made it, but in reality, my father just ate the last of the ice cream…i agree that the pot was crowded.. i will make these again when i have some frozen yogurt”

  • “This recipe was divine. Served with vanilla ice cream or thick cream. Yum!”

  • “I have a banana glut at present so was looking for banana recipes. These are great and very easy to prepare. Next time I would drop heaped teaspoonfuls of dough rather than tablespoons to get a friendlier size and cook half the dumplings at once – if you do them all at once the pot is getting mighty crowded.Definitely worth trying!”

  • “Absolutely fantastic! I halved the recipe, but otherwise did everything as instructed. Delicious!! I will make these again, and again, and again…..”
