  • Reviews

  • “The burgundy wine gives this hamburger a superb flavor. The only thing I did different was thatI fried these in a skillet. I know I will never go back to making a plain boring hamburger again.”

  • “I made these for myself and my parents. The recipe was followed exactly as written and we just did not like the taste at all. The burgers tasted sour and that was the only flavor we got out of them. In fact, without knowing how they were prepared, my father thought the meat was bad and that’s where the sourness was coming from. Just not our thing.”

  • “Very yummy burgers. We loved the taste.I topped mine with a mixture of relish, mustard, mayonnaise. And a slice of cheese. Thanks Mysterygirl :)Made for I Recommend tag game”

  • “These were good. Next time I will use my grill grate with the small holes, because they tried to fall apart when I turned them (mainly because they were sticking). We like our burgers a little bigger so I would make 4 burgers out of this.”

  • “I used green onions instead of regular onion. These were good. Not outstanding by any means but I will probably make them again.”

  • “Oh my these were good!Never had tried wine mixed in with burger meat – and LOVED IT!!Made a cheeseburger out of it – will be making these again all Summer long! Thanks Mystergirl!”

  • “I topped these with provolone cheese and they were great! Very moist and great flavor!”

  • “Just had these burgers for a quick dinner and they were so good!Love the wine flavor! Thanks for sharing this recipe!”

  • “These are YUMMY!! I topped mine with steak sauce. Mmmm… steak on a bun. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. :)”

  • “I made these for my kids last night and one liked and one didn’t, but I thought they were great and I out-rank them.I only used about half the red wine, but other than that followed the recipe to the letter.I thought the wine added great flavor to a plain burger.I’ll be making these again for Dave.Thanks.”

  • “I used just one pound and made 4 patties of it. The wine gave it a unique taste which we enjoyed, nice change. It held together well on the grill but did take longer to cook than stated. Thanks for sharing a nice change with hamburger!”

  • “Robust! The red wine flavor really came through, reminded my DH of a steak marinade that I’ve used. The mistake I made was to use the old stand-by *American Cheese*, not complimentary to the flavor of the burger, will make these again and use something like provolone.Thank You Mysterygirl!”

  • “My meat was naked tonight…..yup I made these & never added a thing to the cooked burger but the bun….Thanks for a great new way with burgers.”

  • “We halved this recipe and made it exactly as called. These burgers were so good! Bergy needs to try these soon! The wine and additional sauce made the patties hold together real nicely. This is the perfect way to dress up the plain old hamburger. Quick, easy and delicious!”
