  • Reviews

  • “After my first taste, this was a four-star recipe. But the more I ate, the more I wanted! It gave me a nice, warm feeling on a cold winter night. A few small changes I made were to add diced onion and garlic while browning the kielbasa, and to substitute chicken stock for half the water. “

  • “I made this a few nights ago, it was great! I didn’t have any red wine, so I substituted a good quality balsamic vinegar. Loved it! Thanks for posting.”

  • “surprisingly good for so few ingredients. Iused vegetarian chorizo and added red pepper flake and texas pete instead of tabasco. comfort food.”

  • “This was wonderful! We are huge cabbage eaters and I’m always looking for new, interesting ways to make it.My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVED this.I used smoked sausage instead of kielbasa(it was what was on hand),omitted the wine and doubled the tabasco sauce. YUMMY.”

  • “I’d have to say this rated a 3-4 star in our home. Kids didn’t like the cabbage, and DH & I found the soup ‘good.’ I followed the directions exactly, except for using 4 potatoes….Thanks for sharing! It was a nice change of pace, anyway!”

  • “Great soup!! I used Italian sausage and made it with chicken stock instead of water. Very nice on a cool day to have a big bowl of this to warm you up. Very good flavor! Thanks Sharlene, this is another keeper!”

  • “It was so good, we invited my Mother-in-Law over for a bowl. The only thing I did different was add 5 chicken bouillon cubes. Thanks for the recipe.”

  • “This is the bomb!I made it using diced ham, but I’m sure it is just as good with sausage.”
