  • “If I may say so, I had begun to make this when I realised I didnt have curry powder at home. So, back home in India, if we dont have curry powder, we use a combo of red chilli powder, turmeric powder, corriander powder and garam masala powder. I did just that:)I used 3/4 tsp. red chilli powder, 1 tsp. turmeric powder, 1 tsp. each of garam masala and corriander powder. It was a nice dish, I must also mention that it was indeed “Light”. I used 1 1/2 fresh tomatoes instead of 1/2. And yes, 1 tsp. salt( was perfect for the 2 cups cauliflower, IMHO). Thank you for a nice calorie wise dish:)”

  • “This was really good!! I used tomato sauce (I didnt feel like chopping) and I had steamed cauliflower in the fridge .. All in all, 7 minutes, for a truly wonderful dish!”

  • “I had just enough cauliflower for 1 1/4 cups, so I used some shredded cabbage as well. I also used garam masala for curry powder. And I absolutely loved this dish! I had it as a side with rotis for dinner. The only change I’ll make next time is to use only 1/4 cup of the water for a slightly drier version! Thanks again, Bergy! I can always count on your veggie recipes!”

  • “Yum, great flavor!I did use the salt and 1/2 can of diced tomatoes, and added a little extra curry.I also did not use as much water. Thanks Bergy!”

  • “i think it was too watery. but it tasted nice and low calorie!maybe next time i’ll use less water. this is a great dish for dieters. a healthier and lower calorie option to those thick fattening ones ccoked in coconut milk.”

  • “For some reason, this came out VERY watery and bland for me… but I haven’t given up on it, because I like the idea. Next time I think I’ll add crushed red pepper and cumin, and use less water (or at least use a less juicy tomato!). Thank you for the great idea!”

  • “I was looking for a recipe that might be like a dish that my neighbor from Calcutta taught me to makesome 40 years ago (and I had mostly forgotten).I think that this was very close and it was fabulous; so it’s a keeper.I think I also like it a little on the drier side, so recommend the lesser amount of water.”
