  • “I made this recipe a few days ago.It turned out great. The ingredients are simple and could be found any time of the year.I am planning to make several batches of this recipe, the root beer jelly recipe and the banana marmilade recipe to give to friends for christmas with a half gallon of ice cream.”

  • “This is a great recipe. The jelly has a very unique taste. People are quite surprised when they hear what it is made of!”

  • “I’m bummed out, mine didn’t set. I’m going to try again using liquid pectin. I always have better results with jelly when I use liquid vs powder. Don’t know why, just do. This jelly is intriguing, the aroma, the color and the concept. I’ll let you know how I make out.”

  • “This was excellent. I made for xmas this year Thanks”

  • “Mine didn’t set up too well, but my family loves it as syrup!”

  • “I made this last year as part of a christmas gift basket. It went over so well i am getting requests for it this year! As a bonus it makes your house smell amazing”

  • “My 11 year old granddaughter and I made this. It tastes wonderful and has a beautiful soft red color. It is a soft set jelly that gets firmer if you store it in the refrigerator.”

  • “well,I made this exactly as statedexcept i used liquid pectin and it didn’t set.. I re-boiled it and put in another pkg. of liquid pectin and still didn’t set like jelly should, but tastes great.”

  • “OMG opened my last jar and went to find this recipe to make more and realized I hadn’t left my review. This was is so darned good, and makes for wonderful gift basket giving also.I Love the candied apple taste, and reminds me of going to the fair where that is one of those absolute must haves.Thank you belatedly for the wonderful recipe.”

  • “Love the flavor and color in this jelly. It tastes just like the candy apple coating. I also had issues with it setting though. I left it sit to set for 2 full days and it never got any firmer than softset jello. I redid it and am waiting to see how it goes. The test jar in the fridge set up beautifully so maybe it has to be refrigerated to fully set. At any rate I am not redoing it again so it will be what it is-yummy. When I make this again I am going to try using liquid pectin (Certo) instead and see how that works. I already have people wanting jars to use as ice cream topping and apple dip.”

  • “OK mad as heck now. I dumped all the original jelly after recanning it and it didnt set. Made another batch and followed recipe to a T – it also didnt set up. What the heck?.”

  • “This was so easy to make. I used it as a jumping off point for pepper jelly.I had homemade apple juice, and omitted the butter and candies. I added 1 red pepper and 2 seranno chilis. Added the peppers to the juice, heated it, added the pectin, boiled it, added the sugar, boiled again and put in jars. Really good, really easy. Thanks.”

  • “I tried this now because I thought it would be wonderful for Christmas baskets…and it is!!The color is beautiful and the taste is so wonderful yet unusual!”

  • “I made this a couple months ago and I am giving as Christmas gifts.I sent some to my mom and she loved it on toast. Thanks for the great recipe!”

  • “This jelly is good, taste just like a candy apple and the color is just great. I think all the kids are going to love this. I had to do this twice, so might want to add 2 boxes of pectin. I got 14 half pints.”

  • “I made this yesterday, very good…..the jelly would not set the first time so I added another bottle of pectin and it turned out perfectly.I plan on putting this in my Christmas baskets.”
