This stunning jar is hand thrown from smooth a dark red stoneware clay and hand designed with a special slip-trailing strategy. It is glazed in my gorgeous Aqua Mist. The texture perfectly breaks through the glaze to reveal the design.

Similar to all handmade pottery … every piece has its own distinct handmade character and may have slightly different sizes, shapes and color variations. I never utilize molds and make each, one at a time. I always use lead complimentary glaze & high fire in my kiln. All my meals are food, dishwashing machine and microwave safe but hand cleaning is always advised. Each piece is signed Back Bay Pottery and my initials.
