  • “This is a great and easy recipe. The only changes I made were to add some sauce to the meat and I also used 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground sausage. came out wonderful! Will make this one again. ty NurseDi! :)”

  • “I wanted a “stuffed shells” recipe that I knew my soon-to-be-visiting family would like and this is perfect.Actually, it is delicious!Great flavor! I especially like the seasoned bread crumbs with the meat mixture as well as the mozzarella cheese.I also added a bit more onion and garlic! Thanks, NurseDi!”

  • “Instead of putting sauce on the bottom of the pan, I put sauce into the beef while cooking it, which meant I had to incoporate more sauce, but that was okay because it turned out better than I think it would have otherwise.”

  • “Great recipe! We ended up using 22 pasta shells and left some mozza out for on top. I think I will tweak a bit next time, more sauce and more garlic(depends on size of them…), maybe add bit of sauce to the beef? Anyway, “we will make these again” as stated by DH! Thanks very much!”

  • “Delicous meal!!I did everything as written and used dry red wine!!Thanks for sharing this recipe!!”

  • “Delicious! My family could not get over how good these stuffed shell turned out.. A nice thing about this recipe is you can prep them way ahead of time before you need to put them together. Looking forward to making this recipe again . 10 Stars!”

  • “This was a delicious and easy weeknight meal… the whole family loved it. Thanks for sharing this recipe!”

  • “A nice, quick-to-put-together meal, although the taste did not overwhelm us.Not especially cheesy, but with a little experimentation maybe we could tweak it to our tastes.”

  • “Your recipes never disappoint, ratherbe! I couldn’t get my family to leave me alone while I was making this last night…the house smelled like an italian bistro and the end result is deeeeeeeeelish! Can’t wait to try the leftovers. Thanks!”

  • “I made this for dinner awhile ago. It is very yummy. I didn’t have any red wine on hand so I omitted it. Easy weeknight meal. Also… I used Italian seasoned ground turkey… turned out awesome and low cal!”

  • “I didn’t have mozzarella cheese so I substituted cheddar cheese instead. I left the dry red wine out. Very good! Even better the next day.”

  • “Very satisfying comfort food!I made mine with ground turkey to keep it healthy and it is TASTY!I also used regular old red wine (Merlot) and it was rich and flavorful! Thanks for posting this!”

  • “THIS DISH IS TO DIE FOR!!!!TRULY!I am so glad I made this!I used a 26 oz. jar of sauce so I could mix a little bit in with the meat mixture to moisten it up a bit. It’s really amazing the flavor you get out of jarred sauce when you add in the wine!I did add serrano peppers to the meat mix for a little heat.I also added another cup of mozzerella ontop of the dish so it would be super gooey!LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dish!!!Thanks for yet another keeper Di!”

  • “This was my attempt at stuffed shells and I was very happy with the results.I prepared 1/2 recipe and have some leftover for lunch and a serving in the freezer for later. I sprinkled some extra mozzarella on top of the shells.I will certainly make this recipe again.”

  • “My family loved these stuffed shells. I used herbs out of the garden and made my own sauce. Thanks for the recipe!”

  • “I made this tonight and we enjoyed it very much.I put the parmesan and half of the mozzarella in the meat mixture and then topped the shells with the rest of the mozz instead of parmesan.I like that oozy, cheesy look!”

  • “This was an easy to make meal. I made them for OAMC and that worked well. I used more sauce than called for. I thought they were bland but my DS gobbled them up!”

  • “It had a really nice taste, the bread crumbs worked great binding the filling. I used 1/2 lb. extra of ground beef. Only complaint is it was too dry tasting, next time will double the pasta sauce and red wine so it will be juicier. Thanks NurseDi!”

  • “Yummy! These were very easy to make and so delicious. The whole family loved them and had seconds.I had leftover meat, so I recommend making up more than 18 shells.TIP:Be carefull not to overcook the shells as it would be difficult to fill them if they are too flimsy. Thanks for the wonderful recipe. This will be a regular at our house.”

  • “This was absolutely wonderful. The only change I made was to add half the mozarella cheese into the filling and sprinkled the rest on top of the shells. Also used a 26 oz jar of sauce – Delicious”
