About This Recipe
“Here is a fast microwave chicken dish. It takes no time to prepare and is on the table in less than 30 minutes. This is good cold as well.”

“Very good, thank-you, my husband thought it was what he calls “sneaky hot”,he enjoyed it and wants it again. My mouth is still tingley. Used skinless, legs. The only problem I had was after the first 6 minutes I took the chicken out to turn it over and the sauce had heavily congealed, so I spooned it into a cup and poured 3 or 4 more tablespoons of sherry in and whisked it up, put the chicken back in and poured the thinned sauce over it. When it was done, (8 minutes) the sauce had thickened again and coated the chicken nicely, without adding any more cornstarch. It will be a repeat. Looking forward to cold left overs. Dorothy”
“This tasted good, but I don’t cook with the microwave, so I used the oven instead. It didn’t taste spicy to us, so I’ll add more cayenne pepper next time.”
“Maybe my microwave is more powerful, but after cooking on high for 6 minutes, I just had a few “clumps” of sauce left.Had I cooked it for another 6 minutes at high, I would have had chicken jerky. What was left of the sauce was a tad bitter.”
“Excellent!BOTH my son and husband love this chicken — great job and THANKS!”
“I came home needing to do something quick with some boneless chicken thighs, and I stumbled on this recipe.I followed the recipe faithfully and it turned out great. What’s even better is that you probably have most of the ingredients needed already on hand. Thanks for this gem!”
“very good and super easy.I also do not really like to cook meat in the microwave. This was very tasty in the microwave and super fast for a quick dinner.I just made noodles, apple sauce and the chicken thighs diablo with a salad and it was a meal my husband liked and would definitely like again.Thank you fpr the excellent recipe.”
“I actually used all but the Paprika (sprinkled over chicken in oven) for a marinade (30 min) and baked in the oven ~ just my preference. This was AWESOME!I turned the pieces once & sprinkled again w/the Paprika. My honeybunny went back for more sauce to ladel over chicken, it was that good…”
“This recipe was great!Yesterday I worked in the yard all day and early in the morning had taken the boneless chicken thighs out of the freezer.I needed something simple and easy to prepare, and I did not want to go to the grocery store for ingredients. This was the perfect recipe.I served it with my Rice Pilaf, which I prepared in the microwave, and broccoli. This was super easy and super delicious! My DH and I enjoyed it very much. We have leftovers for tonight.I followed AuntSana’s suggestion and cooked the thighs in the oven according to her directions. Thanks Tebo for this wonder recipe and AuntSana for your suggestion!”
“I used this recipe except for the sherry. Cabernet worked well for us instead. Very tasty.”
“I didn’t have high expectations for a microwave recipe but this was SO delicious, there were no leftovers whatsoever, and it was SO easy! I only did this recipe because i was looking for one using ingredients I had on hand. To my surprise it turned out really good! If you are in a pinch for time TRY THIS! & it is great with white rice and broccoli!”
“Very tasty! I’m not real fond of meat cooked in the microwave, but I liked the recipe ingredients,so I baked them in the oven. The sauce adhered nicely to the chicken pieces. :)”
“Thanks, Tebo, for a great recipe. The store I use was having a sale on skinless chicken thighs and we purchased 5 lbs, so used the oven. Rolled the thighs in the soy mixture, then baked for 15 minutes @ 375*F, then turned over and used the rest of the soy mixture and baked another 15 minutes.Loved the crispiness the oven gave it.Will definitely use again, maybe the next time in the microwave.”
“These were very good!Love the spiciness of the thighs and moist-moist-moist from the MICROWAVE! Hello! I added this to my Faves!BTW, I did only use just one pkg (the 1.8 lb pkg.) of Tyson boneless skinless thighs. Oh, and the additional sauce spooned over the top was out of this world!”
“This was just what I was looking for tonight!I wanted something quick that wouldn’t heat up the house. The kids ate it up and there were no leftovers.Thank you for the wonderful recipe!”
“I made this last night for dinner and everyone loved it. I did add a little extra sherry after reading the other reviews and it was perfect. It doesn’t get any easier than this. I also only used 1/4 tsp. of cayenne, we are whimps. I will be making this again thanks for such an easy dinner idea.”
“Fast, Easy and Great Tasting.I have two teenage boys and thier friends to feed so I doubled the recipe, hoping to have some leftovers for the next day at work…didn’t happen, took about 5 minutes and it was all gone!”
“The garlic popped wi ththis dish. And to prepare it all in one dish and only use the microwave. Those are all of our family flavors.I did skin the thighs. Cut the fat dowm.bone side up for part of the cooking, then turn over and sprinkled with cayanne, Perfic. Paprika makes the color nice and finishes it off.(secret)we salt&pepper the skins an fry them crisp, no oil nessary, addsome garlic powder.very tasty and crunchy for a side. The meal is great with white rice and broccoli..Very good”
“very easy to make! at the first 6 mins,it congealed, but I ignored it.Then continued with the next 6 mins, and voila, the sauce didn’t congeal anymore! Didn’t put the cayenne pepper btw.I just heated it another extra 6 mins, just to be sure though I think the mins you gave was fine as it is.Thanks!”
“WOW! This is fantastic. I can’t believe it took me 5 minutes to make and 12 minutes to cook (in the microwave!!!) and it’s SO incredibly delicious! WOW. I found it quite salty (not in an overly salty, bad way)…so whatever you do, DO NOT add salt….the recipe doesn’t need it!”
“A very tasty, easy to make meal using common ingredients to be found in the pantry. How much easier could one want. And the microwave doesn’t heat up the house. My sauce was congealed, too, at the 6 minute mark, but a little more wine and a quick mixing made things right. I found I was out of cayenne pepper, so the same amount of chili powder worked. Thanks for posting such a keeper, Tebo. jim”
