Wheel thrown and hand sculpted stoneware plate. Pattern was motivated by integrating circuit board and topography maps. I sculpted the pattern into the plate on both sides, then marked in numbers using classic typewriter secrets imitating binary code and altitude notations. Carving was completed with underglaze, then removed producing an inlaid structure.
Satin lusters in taupe and black.

All my ceramic pieces are wheel thrown and/ or hand crafted, signed and numbered. I utilize just business food grade lusters so all work is food and dishwasher safe. This plate can be used in a microwave.
