“4.75 stars on this one. I don’t say this often but these things are honestly addicting! Made them yesterday and when I first tried them, thought they were “missing” something. (Might be because most of the cookies I bake have chocolate … I’m still pondering this.) Yet I noticed today that whenever I walked by & grabbed one, I always went back at least 3 times (I’m not going to tell you the exact number of times)! These are chewy-slightly crispy and while you taste the peanuts and have a hint of the coconut, no one flavor overpowers the taste. DARNED good to eat!”
“These cookie are Fantastic! I have made them twice and they are a hit with everyone!”
“Wow!I made these on Christmas Eve to give as presents and the first batch were flat and buttery.I added a total of 1 cup of flour and refrigerated the dough for several hours before baking them…AMAZING!I put them in toboggans for my male cousins.I left out the nuts because I knew some of them didn’t like nuts. They all raved about the cookies and 2 of my aunts have even called for the recipe!!!Your recipe wowed a chocoholic family!!!!BIG THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Tasty!!Lots of fun flavors mixed all up in one cookie!!”
“I found a similar recipe on a different site, with a few changes, but basially the same recipe. The other recipe had 1 teaspoon vanilla, a pinch of salt, 1 1/2 cups coconut and 1 1/2 cups chopped salted peanuts.I followed these changes.A wondeful recipe, easy to put together, and baked up so nice.I used my medium sized pampered chief cookie scoop and got the 2 dozen, so the servings were right on.As a side note, the other recipe states that “This is a very old recipe from at least the 30’s.the name comes from the old expression meaning ‘great’.”I thought that was interesting too.Thank you for posting your grandmothers recipe, and I will post a picture too.”
