“Very good salad.I think next time, I will add some sour cream (no fat of course!) to make it taste a bit Russian.”
“This was ok.Certainly edible, but I didn’t feel like it had much flavor.Fine as a dinner side, though.”
“Nice, light flavor.Easy to put together!I also added a touch of salt and dill seasoning.”
“Makes a nice light side.It turns out well even when eyeballing the quantities.”
“I love this recipe.I double the recipe using two cucumbers, one large onion and 1/2 cup of the white vinegar and water and 2 tablespoons each of the mayo as well as someone’s suggestion of the sour cream.I have been taking this to picnics all summer and have gotten rave reviews. Thanks!”
“We liked this cucumber salad very much. Just made half a recipe for the two of us. Instead of Equal I used Splenda, about 1 heaping tablespoon. We found it to be more of a vinegar taste than sweet, probably because of the splenda, I would use a bit more next time. It was not as creamy as expected, but enough.I would certainly make it again, the cukes and onion stayed nice and crisp and didn’t taste so much like a low fat, low calorie salad as some we’ve had, hardly noticed it was good for us!!!Thanks for sharing.”
“Tastes a lot like a recipe my mother made.I have to agree it was not at all creamy and was too sweet so I added 1 Tbsp more of Mayo and 1 Tbsp of Sour cream along with some dill weed.”
“I will be making this again. It’s not creamy, but tastes good.Quite sweet, so next time will try with 3 packets of sugar substitute.”
