Released by The Spool Cotton Company, Copyright, 1942 PDF of really rare WWII stitching book. A very interesting piece to contribute to any vintage crafting collection OR to any upcycler in requirement or guideline.

The book is a PDF and contains instructions on ways to spot and repair clothing, a FANTASTIC alteration guide, the best ways to make and add collars and dickeys (consisting of both sewn and crocheted decorations- see photo 3 for instances of all collar designs consisted of), hat-making see image 4, how to recoup product from old clothes to make new ones, ways to recuperate yarn from old sweatshirts, etc. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: a few of the items showed include patterns (e.g., the collars in photo 2) BUT there are numerous products visualized in picture 4 reference Vogue, Simplicity, and McCall’s patterns that are NOT included with the Ebook! These are just beautiful illustrations to offer you suggestions of exactly what you might make from recovered product. The brochure enters into fantastic detail about how to set out the pieces on the material to be recycled, however.
