I was commissioned making this as a graduation present for a student ending up his law degree. I was asked to utilize the verse Micah 6: 8, & quot; & quot; Do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with your God. & Quot; & Quot; Making use of 3 different papers, the first being woodblock paper that is a bit more geometric lending itself to a graph of justice. The 2nd being a hand-marbled paper which is complimentary flowing, warm and full of life, providing itself to the idea of mercy and relationship. Then the 3rd being a vintage map of the hemispheres providing to the concept of being on a journey.
When I bumped into all the images I wanted to use for each principle, I scanned them in, developed appropriate file-types to the print and use to hand cut each stencil with my exacto knife. After I had all the stencils cut, I measured the positioning lightly adhered the stencil, including great deals of little inner pieces and sprayed with paint.
Obviously there are 3 separate pieces of artwork, all meant to be hung together in a row. Every one is mounted on stretcher bars, prepared to hang as is. If you prefer them in a frame, let me understand and I can make them poster size to fit in conventional frame sizes. For additional expense I might even frame them for you-just message me.
