  • “This dressing was good and easy, ( followed it as written) but a little too sweet and thick for me,(maybe I blended it too long?)If I make it again, I wouldadd less sugar, and more water. I did add a little more vinegar to it, after tasting it, but still thought it too sweet, and was leary of adding any more vinegar. Anyway, it’s worth tinkering with.”

  • “Made this for my husband because we ran out of salad dressing and I had all the ingredients for this on hand.Added in a squeeze of honey and a 1/2 tsp of paprika because it was listed on the ingredients of our favorite French dressing.Turned out great and makes a lot of dressing.Won’t have to buy bottled anymore. Thanks!”

  • “This is an exact duplicate of the bottled “orange stuff” that my husband really likes. I might have to do a little tinkering to make it a bit healthier, but this cuts out at least half of the chemicals in the bottled stuff so for now I’m happy. I had to whisk by hand since my blender died, and it worked fine (but might have been a tad harder).”

  • “Good! I needed some French dressing for a recipe so made a half batch. Quick and easy and made from ingredients on hand. The best part, no creepy chemical ingredients. Thanks for sharing the recipe!”

  • “My dad will only eat French Dressing with his salad.I don’t eat it.I prefer either Italian or Ranch. So when I was serving salad for Sunday dinner, needless to say – I forgot the French Dressing!I whipped this up and he absolutely loved it.I didn’t have white vinegar but used apple cider vinegar instead. Will definitely keep this for future use!”

  • “I cut this recipe in half since I just needed it for another recipe, (Recipe #336205). After reading some of the reviews I only used a bit less than 1/8c of sugar (remember I halved the recipe so for the whole amount it would be just under 1/4c) Also, I did not have the correct oil so I used olive oil, as that is all I have. Very good though, tangy. Thanks for saving me a trip to the store !!!”

  • “Hi,
I was looking for an easy recipe with ingredients I would have in the pantry and I found this amazing recipe for french dressing. I absolutely love it! although I didnt have garlic salt and substituted garlic powder. It is the best dressing ever.

  • “I whipped this together to use as an ingredient in Recipe #336205. Thanks for a great recipe that fit my needs. The hubby loved it!”

  • “Very good!I subbed red wine vinegar instead of the regular and cut back the sugar since I think red wine vinegar is sweet.I cut the batch back so I didn’t have leftovers of this.I’m going to be making this often since we don’t use up bottled dressings fast enough. Thanks for giving us this recipe!”

  • “Excellent!Lovely flavor and an expensive, easy recipe.Love it!”

  • “FANTASTIC!I needed some dressing for a marinade and forgot to pick some up at the store. Reduced the recipe to make one cup, reserved some for a salad, and put the rest in the marinade.I won’t be buying bottled anymore, as I always have these ingredients on hand. Thanks for sharing!”

  • “Awesome Homemade dressing recipe….no “fillers”, no “preservatives”, no extra ANYTHING…we used what oil we had on hand, Smart Balance, which added extra healh aspects! LOVE the recipe! Our 12 yr old made it because he’s the one that loves Catalina…….no problems following the recipe, he made it beautifully, and we all loved it. Thanks SO MUCH.”

  • “So easy my husband even made it without a flaw! Thanks for sharing!”

  • “I reduced this down to 5 servings as I needed some French Dressing for another recipe. This is so easy to make, and tastes perfect!”

  • “WOW!!! This dressing is wonderful!! It is so easy to throw into the blender and whip up. I will not be buying french dressing again. I am the only one that eats french in our house, so it did make a lot for just me. But I am going to try and convert DS since he did taste it and loved it. He just didn’t want to try it on his salad. Maybe next time I will try and half the recipe. Love, Love, Love this dressing, thanks for posting!!!”

  • “This dressing is great! My son’s favorite dressing is Catalina and I found this to be more like that than French dressing. (When I think of French dressing, I think of the thick, orange stuff.) my son loves this. This recipe does make a real lot, so I just made halfthe recipe, combined the ingredients in a cruet, and shook till blended. I also used this in *OzMan*’s Taco salad. Yum. I’ll never buy bottled dressing again.”

  • “This is delicious – and so easy! i love how i have all ingredients on hand… i used vegetable oil in place of corn oil. I added some leftover dille-mustard dressing and it went perfect together. This is definitely a keeper!”

  • “Super easy.I never buy french dressing..not one of my favorites. This is so easy and great tasting I will make this again to use on a plain jane lettuce salad.I used it in Recipe #94610.I just changed the serving size and it worked wonderfully. Thanks for the great recipe.”

  • “I scaled this recipe down to 1/2 cup to use in Chicken BLT Taco Salad & it worked perfectly! Not being a French dressing lover, I don’t keep it on hand so this is a great recipe to use when I need it. Thanks for sharing!”
