  • “I put all of the ingredients in the crockpot just before I went to bed.I woke up to the wonderful aroma!!The chicken was so moist it fell apart.I packed it for husband to take to work for lunch. He ended up calling me at my job just to say how good it was and how everyone who had a taste loved it!!This recipe is soooo easy; and very, very good! The best part is that you can use the brand of salsa that you prefer!”

  • “Made this yesterday and family liked it. Nobody here (except me) likes black beans, so I used pinto beans. I only had one jar of salsa in the morning when I put this on, but it was enough. We added some in the tortillas with cheese and sour cream. I will make this again, and would double for casual company.Hokiegal”

  • “A quick and easy way to make a good, hearty meal. The chicken was still moist and the bean/corn combination was good.We used a medium hot salsa.I served this with sauted onions and avocados and Monterrey Jack cheese.I will use this recipe again. Thanks for sharing. “

  • “Great flavor.I used frozen corn as I didnt have any cans on hand and it turned out fine.I also started with frozen chicken breast (bone in) and it cooked about 9 hrs.Shredded it up and cooked it a tiny bit more.Had great flavor in our tacos, and really set off the toppings. Thanks for a great recipe.”

  • “This made for very good burritos.”

  • “This was so delish!!I made a mexican lasagna with the filling.I layered flour tortillas, this filling and a little bit of cheese in a 8×8 dish and then baked for about 15 minutes. My husband and I could not stop eating it!!Will definitely make this again!”

  • “Very easy to make. I left out the beans. The smell was very strong and it actually cooked sooner than I expected, but it’s probably because i used chicken strips instead of breasts. Either way it was fantastic. Don’t forget your corn though! I accidently left it out on my second batch and it didn’t taste as good.”

  • “Very tasty! Followed the recipe to the T. Used my own homemade salsa & served w/ sauteed green & yellow peppers, onions, sour cream and cheddar on a tortilla. AND best of all, even better the 2nd day as leftovers!”

  • “I used chicken thighs, and a 24 oz. jar of salsa. It turned out really well, and you would never know it is so easy to make.Next time I’ll try adding some onion and pepper slices.”

  • “I really enjoyed this dish. A couple of comments on other reviews, though….I only used 16 oz of salsa based on other reviews, but I found I would have preferred it a bit saucier. Next time, I may not go with 32 oz, but will probably try a 24 oz jar. Also, I had to cook this while at work, so it was more like 10.5 hours in the crockpot. The chicken was still fine. I don’t know if that might have made it less saucy, though. Corn and beans did NOT overcook in that period of time.”

  • “YUM!I had some Peach-Mango Chipotle salsa I’d picked up from Crate And Barrel, and this was the PERFECT recipe to make it shine!Definitely use a quality salsa for this one–no ‘Pace Picante’ here.To add some extra nutrition (we are health nuts), I sliced some red, green, and yellow bell pepper and a yellow onion and put them on the bottom of the crockpot…they soaked up the juices from the chicken and salsa, and were melt-in-your-mouth tender. My boyfriend RAVED about this dish–and I felt almost guilty for how easy it is!This is a new staple in my chicken–I’m trying it with Trader Joe’s Salsa Verde next! Thanks so much!!!”

  • “I love this recipe however instead of using a regular can of black beans i usebushs grillin beans black bean fiesta… and i dilute mine with one cup of water…. this takes a little of the spice away and my children tear it up as well as the husband! When the children are away I follow the recipe exactly and throw in an additional can of rotel and that gives it a fantastic KICK!… We eat ours over rice or chips”

  • “I added some cumin, red pepper, garlic salt, and pepper to this. I couldn’t imagine put no seasoning in it. Very easy! We ate it as tostadas.”

  • “My husband declared it one of my top 10 meals I make for him.I made exactly as recipe stated, but used 3 large, thick chicken breasts instead of 4. Used Chi Chi’s medium salsa.I cooked on low for 6 hours. We decided it was too watery/liquidy for use in tortillas.Ate it more like a soup or stew.Next time I would thicken it somehow – someone suggested adding the beans without rinsing. If you do want it more fajita like- I would add the onions and green peppers.Really yummy with sour cream.”

  • “Wow, my house smelled amazing all afternoon.I used 3 large chicken breasts, only one jar of salsa (all i had), the black beans and some Mexican corn dip (leftover from our football party) and it turned out wonderful. We shredded the chicken and put it back into the crockpot to soak up all that lovely sauce….yum. I served this with flour tortillas, hard shell tortillas, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, black olives, sour cream and jalapenos. We loved it. Thank you for somethin a bit different then the regular ground beef tacos.”

  • “WONDERFUL DISH!!!I will definitely be adding this to the family’s regular menus. It was so simple to make and positively delicious. Not only did I love it, but my 12 year old son is crazy for it, too. That actually merits 6 stars if I could rate it that high!”

  • “I was skeptical because there were only 4 ingredients but decided to give it a try anyway. My family and I were very happy I did because it was delicious! The meat was extremely tender and had a wonderful flavor. We made taco salads and had enough left over to make burritos the next day. We will definitely be making this again!”

  • “So easy and delicious!Like other reviewers, I ended up with a little too much liquid, but the taste was perfect.Next time I’ll just use a bit less salsa. It was great to walk into the kitchen and smell the food cooking – it tastes like I spent hours on it, instead of tossing it all in this morning!”

  • “Very easy recipe, very good flavor. However, there was a LOT of liquid left, so that it became more of a soup. A slotted spoon was a must – I think next time I’ll back off a bit on the liquid, but all the other flavor-type stuff will stay the same.”

  • “Yum!This smelled so good, I almost ate my hand while it cooked.I only had one jar of salsa and it was fine.My only recommendation is to make sure you use a thick and chunky salsa rather than a watery one like I did.I had to ladle out the excess water, but it was delicious!I was sure I was going to dislike the corn, but it was great. My kids – 5 and 3 – loved it too!”
