“I only change this slightly.I used wheat flour and added some red pepper flakes.My livers were also still slightly frozen.I’ve been making fried livers for over half a century, and these were super.I’ve never soaked them in milk, or used baking powder.I will from now on.I soaked them for only a minute or less; cooked them maybe 5 min.I’m guessing you could soak them for a while, and then cook them slower, but i’d say the total time was 5 min. or less.”
“These are delicious!I especially like the added crunch that the baking powder contributes to the coating.I might use a bit less the next time, because I thought it added a very slight sharp taste.I’ll report back when I’ve tried them again. Thanks for posting the recipe.”
