  • “I love the natural flavour and crispness of broccoli when you cook it just right, and this recipe brought it out wonderfully! Fantastic recipe, simple, lemony and something I just can’t have enough of! I would probably add some more lemon juice to it too, because I like it real tangy. Thank you, Bergy!”

  • “A simple and delicious way to do broccoli. The garlic lemon sauce was a wonderful enhancement to the flavor of the fresh broccoli. Very yummy and healthy as well. I agree that the broccoli is better if it is crisp. Thanks!”

  • “I am not a broccoli fan, but this recipe made a liar out of me.This was sooooo… good.I didn’t quite know what lemon zest was, so I used lemon pepper instead and VIOLA!!!!!!”

  • “Bergy, this was really good. I was looking for various recipes as I had “so” much broc left over from “the rain party” *LOLThank you for posting this and helping me use up my broccoli supply :)”

  • “Wonderful…I had this with seasoned yogurt (I am gonna post the recipe soon) and it tasted too good. It is something you can keep repeating every week. Thanks for sharing the same.”

  • “This was a nice alternative to salt.I will have steamed broccoli more often . . . thanks for the recipe.”

  • “Well, I basically never steam or boil broccoli anymore, because roasting it is sooooo much better :-)But I wanted to make this recipe, so adapted it to roasting. It is stupendous. What I did was peel and trim the broccoli (two full stems, not just florets) and slice into reasonable pieces.I then sliced a couple of garlic cloves and put the broccoli and garlic on a half-sheet pan, then drizzled a couple of tablespoons of olive oil over. Tossed it all and roasted at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes…turning and tossing after 15 minutes. After 25 minutes, I took it out of the oven, sprinkled with freshly cut lemon zest and seasoned with sea salt and a bit of pepper.Tossed again and served.Simply wonderful.”

  • “I love this recipe. I add the broccoli right into the pan until well coated. I toss the broccoli mixture with whole wheat linguini or angel hair pasta. Topped off with grilled chicken and parmesan cheese. Light and delicious.”

  • “Quick easy and delicious. I used garlic scapes instead of cloves and it worked really well.”

  • “We had this tasty side dish a few nights ago…I have a really bad habit of not measuring stuff, so I think I used 2 stalks of broccoli cut up ( stems included… we love them) and instead of messing with another pan, I used some garlic that I had infused into some olive oil for another dish and just grated some fresh lemon zest over the top, along with some juice, right before serving.Delicious! Thanks for a refreshing and light side!!!”

  • “One of our favorite broccoli recipes! Mmm! I make it for 2 though, 4 cups of broccoli is way to much for the two of us LOL. We love how the lemon and garlic tastes with the broccoli! Thank you Bergy!”

  • “Great recipe Bergy! I loved the lemon and garlic flavor with the broccoli, perfect! When sauting the garlic I added enough lemon juice to deglaze the pan, the kitchen smelled wonderful. I did use frozen broccoli with about 1/2 cup of water to steam in the microwave. Added everything together and served with Derf’s Cracked Pepper Linguine and enjoyed a very good lunch!”

  • “These are yummy.I just did a little stir frying instead and added a dash of soy sauce. VERY TASTEY!”

  • “Usually we just eat plain steamed brocoli so I decided to try this for a change. It smelled wonderful while cooking but I thought it sort of lacked something. There wasn’t what I could discern as much flavor from the lemon and garlic. It was not bad, just somewhat bland. Thanks for posting such healthy stuff, though.”

  • “Very nice way of serving broccoli. Quick easy side dish.”

  • “Wonderful recipe! Easy to make and the lemon-garlic flavor was just perfect. One of the things I liked best is being able to get the broccoli steamed, then just warm it briefly in the pan with the garlic when the other foods are getting done. Makes cooking a lot easier! Thanks for posting.”

  • “I must be missing something in the way I prepared this dish. Reread all the rave reviews but to us this was just so-so. Roasted broccoli dressed with extra virgin oil and sea salt and baked at 500 degrees for 10-15 mins is more enjoyable to us. Kay S”

  • “Great flavour combination. I used a mixture of broccoli, carrots and cauliflower – steamed until barely crisp/tender. I also added about 2 Tbsp lemon juice before tossing. Everyone loved it. I’ll be making this again and again. Thanks Bergy.”

  • “The garlic was the perfect kick for this.I often make my broccoli like this but never thought to add fresh minced garlic…duh! And I am on a garlic kick lately so this was right up my ally! Thanks Bergy.I also agree~ don’t over cook the broccoli.Bright green and crisp ;)”
