“I followed the recipe and instructions exactly (except for making 15, not 18 cookies). After 10 minutes I had to take the cookies out of the oven because they were burning. I triple checked the oven temp and all the instructions and for the life of me I have no idea what is wrong. They spread totally flat and lost all of the ‘fork’ pattern. Normally I know what went wrong but on this occasion I am at a loss. They tasted ok through the burnt flavour but not nice enough for me to try making them again to attempt to find out what went wrong.”
“This recipe was easy to follow and the biscuits turned out delicious! It was the first time I had tried baking anything. Worked really well.”

“Great cookie recipe. Easy my 13 year old daughter made this with a friend, wonderful and easy.I would love to try to add a bit of ginger, cloves, cinnamon and allspice next time to make an easy ginger bread type cookie! they have that”all day” baking cookie taste like a ginger bread might have Great recipe, as is though! Thanks for posting!”
“These are so simple to make, even a 4 year old could make them ;). Evie you are not allowed to laugh at this but Dave has dismantled my kitchen taking away all my kitchen benches and cooktop leaving me only with a wok burner on the BBQ. So I microwaved the butter, sugar, syrup and milk – it worked perfectly. Rolled them into about 30 biscuits – my girls always want one for each hand so I prefer to make them smaller. Great flavour, incredible easy to make, fantastic recipe. Thanks for another great recipe :-)”
“Honestly, Evie, these were so bloody easy to make I was willing to give them 5 stars even if they ended up tasting like cardboard!Luckily they didn’t.They were lovely and crunchy with a slight taste of honeycomb. If you have unexpected guests coming over and you need cookies/biscuits – this is the recipe for you!I used heaped teaspoons of the mixture which made about 24 biscuits.”
