Handmade Witch doll folk art polymer clay original one of a kind
Hello! I have 3 of these witchy ladies to list! These are all completely handmade by me and are all my original design. These 3 will certainly be similar, however certainly not identical! This witchy girl is Hilda.(These are in fact called after my spouses remarkable aunties, Hilda, Beatrice, and Florine and simply let me say they were definitely not witches!) I hand shaped her head of polymer clay, baked and repainted it. She has black glass eyes. She has a wire armature body with a wooden dowel spine. Her arms and legs are gently poseable. Her hands and head can swivel. She has hand toned polymer shoes and can stand, however her broom helps her keep her balance (she'' s an old woman. give her a break!) I wrapped the wire armature with batting and muslin strips. Her legs are covered with red and white striped fabric strips for appropriately witchy stockings! She has a weighted bottom and might be made to sit.Her clothes are not removeable except her hat and broom. Her skirt is vintage black velvet with an incomplete hemline. Her hat is handcrafted from the same black velour and has a black felt brim. It likewise has an image medallion of her “”former self” “and her name is scripty text on the brim. Her bodice is vintage black sateen and she has taffetta bow bindings on her arms and a sash at her waist. Around her neck she wears a little terrific antique lace. She stands 16” “tall shoe tips to hat tip or a bit over 12” “tall without her hat. Her hat is removeable and below she wears a classic homespun blue and white inspected headscarf. when she transforms from lovely lady to witch she loses all her hair! Her broom is handcrafted too! I made it from pine needles with a branch manage and copper wire wrapping. It is quite fresh in this photo, but will dry to a more broom-like sagey-tan color. Her hands are likewise handsculpted and understand her broom. its not connected. She has finger wrinkles as well as fingernails. Given that these are folk art handmade originals, there may still be a finger print on her face or hands her or there. Dolls are really my preferred thing making and I want to list more non witchy ones. She is all prepared to come to your house and live! These take hours making and as they are some of the first I'' m listing I am trying to keep my costs low. Kindly ask any concerns. Kindly examine my other items and my vintage website, hopeandjoyhome. Thanks for looking and send a friend! Julia
