“Delish! I made these using recipe/ultimate-pizza-sauce-114392. I also added thin sliced provolone cheese (only 40 calories a slice!)”
“Yum! This was a really simple, good, and messy sandwich. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for Cookbook Tag.”
“This is an oldie, but a goodie. I sometimes add mozz cheese on top. Oh, and we prefer ours grilled.”
“Oh my god. This was absolutely amazing!”
“Wonderfully simple, very tasty sandwich. Messy but so worth the effort.”
“Mmmm, mmmmm good and it is so easy to put together!I cut a beef smoked sausage (loop) into “links” and put it in a skillet to brown.I added onions and peppers (from frozen) to cook with it and, afterwards, added it to a pot of leftover pasta sauce that was warming up.Very filling and tasty sandwich.Everyone loved it.Thanks!”
“Pretty good, and definitely easy to make. Only downside is they’re very messy and hard to eat! But it was a nice change of pace. Thanks!”
“This is an excellant recipe, because you can use what you have in the cuboard. I had Turkey/sundried tomato sausages, which I did on the bbq, then toasted the hoagie rolls on the bbq too.Didn’t have any spaghetti sauce so I used some Brushetta, left over from another recipe.I did saute the onion and bell pepper to which I added some cajun seasoning instead of pepper flakes.Th result was a delicious hoagie roll filled with wonderfull taste. We enjoyed them very much and will be making them again, thanks for the good basic idea!!”
“Very Good !!!! I added more pepper flakes for that “extra kick” My husband loved them so much he ate “3” 🙂 We grilled the sausages the night before, and I made the sauce at the same time. So quick and easy the next night for dinner. “
“I did a couple of things a little different – I used a Pita Pocket sliced open and added some cheese. The sauce I used was a beer/Molasses sauce but the equivalent of spaghetti sauce – Served with Oven fries – Wonderful Thanks lynda clark”
“This recipe is definately a winner.I had it for dinner with some broccoli, however, I ommitted the hoagie and added green peppers and a tablespoon of sugar.VIOLA!!!!!!”
“This reminds me of being at the jersey shore on the boardwalk. With a glass of the fresh squeezed lemonade, it is the ultimate!Your recipe is exactly how I make sausage with peppers and onions, trying to duplicate that boardwalk taste.Half of our family skips the sauce…they are good both ways. This is a very tasty recipe and a different way to have sausage, instead of the usual with pasta.”
