Vintage John Wayne print was extracted from a portfolio book titled & quot; & quot; John Ford Presents Cowboy Kings Of Western Popularity – The Famous Western Stars Series. & quot; & quot; This poster is from 1977 and the artist was Will Williams. It’s a good color reproduction of the initial painting and reveals Wayne in portrait and in action type. On the back is a bio of the star and the really bottom says, & quot; & quot; Produced in the United States of America by Western series, Inc., PO Box 2787, Hollywood, Ca 90028. & quot;
& quot; The photo with frame steps 24 3/4 & quot; tall and 18 3/4 & quot; large. The frame has a gold interior with wood. The photo is covered in plastic vs glass. The picture remains in VG condition, the graphics are lively and clear. There is simply one little small line and plastic impression on the really low left side.
In 72, John Ford and popular artist, Will certainly Williams, started working on a portfolio collection of well-known western stars. It was his final innovative work. Williams work is a remarkable representation of each artist. Some of the other starts in his work were: Tom Mix, Buck Jones, Joel McCrea, Gary Cooper, James Stewart etc.
