The Piece:
This metal coyote wall art features a coyote, or wolf sculpture overlapping a rusted southwest frame. The coyote is polished with a swirling motion, then accented in transparent red and yellow colors. Raised off the frame, the coyote measures 16 inches tall, and is larger then the frame. The frame measures 8 3/4 & quot; by 14 1/2 & quot; tall; it is cut from 16 gauge steel, and is rusted with the dross (melted metal from the cutting process) left on. It is equipped with a saw tooth hanger, and four feet that hold the sculpture away from the wall. Rustic yet contemporary, the combination of the polished center piece, and the rusted frame creates a great contrast. The whole piece is sealed with multiple coats of a UV and water resistant sealer. While this sculpture can be hung outside, it should have some protection from the weather. It is signed and dated by the artist.
