“Was a tasty meatloaf, the topping gave it that little ‘extra’. The books are good too.=)”
“This is my family’s new favorite meatloaf. And so good in sandwiches the next day.”
“I love cranberries and this was a nice touch. The texture of the meatloaf is great – you can slice it but it is not too firm. I served it with black asparagus and a green bean/carrot casserole, Thanks for a keeper”
“My husband liked this meatloaf and he’s really finicky about such things. He was not impressed with the idea of using cranberry sauce, but we both liked the sweet-tart flavor on top of the dish.I used Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs and added a little dry mustard, as suggested by another rater.Good stuff!”
“This is a departure from the same old meatloaf and was a refreshing change.I prepared as presented here but wonder if a little dry mustard might give it a little more character.Next time, I’ll try it in two pans and do a back to back test. Thanks mysterygirl!”
“Delicious! I only made a couple changes to the recipe. I used ground turkey instead of beef and used about a T. of molasses instead of brown sugar. I also baked it up the day before I served it and reheated it. Worked out great. I chose the recipe because I had a can of cranberry that I wanted to use up and Dh isn’t a fan of cranberry sauce and he enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing the recipe.”
“Gosh this is SO good! The cranberry sauce caramelizes and you end up with this delicious sauce!I followed ther recipe 100% and made it twice.(The 2nd time I added dried cramberries, but can’t wait to try with fresh ones.)Thanks for sharing!”
“I love this meatloaf. I like things “sweet” and this was just right.I always thought Mrs. Cobb sounded like she was a good cook!I used homemade cranberry sauce because it has nice whole cranberries in it.”
“Excellant meatloaf! Although I did leave out the brown sugar, felt the cranberry sauce was enough. I used homemade cranberry sauce left from the Holidays, spread down the middle of the meatloaf. I only had one pound of extra lean ground beef so mine came out a bit smaller, but it was delicious! and held together well.Great seasonings! DH loved it too and I will be making it again, thanks for sharing.”
“A little too sweet for my taste but good. Be sure a drain the meat loaf before inverting onto a plate or you’ll get melted cranberry sauce/brown sugar/grease mixture all over the place.”
“This was good and a bit different from other meatloaves. My guests really liked it.I found it a bit too sweet though.Easy to do.”
