This listing is for a knitting pattern to make my Nanette Jacket. This listing is NOT for the finished item.
The jacket made from this pattern will fit waldorf-style dolls 16 & quot; and up.
The & quot; Nanette & quot; Knitting pattern is knit top down, with no seams, back and forth on a circular needle. It is very simple, fast and the jacket has ample ease to be worn on top of fancy dresses or other long sleeve items. It is knit in one single piece, with garter stitch yoke, front bands and hem for added detail.
Required materials:
–a size US11 (8mm) circular knitting needle (30 & quot; long)
–130 yards of heavy worsted or bulky yarn, to achieve gauge
–a crochet hook (optional) if you decide to add a button loop this way, you could also knit it.
– a large button, preferably 1.5 & quot; circumference
–a blunt needle for weaving ends
–a cup of tea to enjoy while you knit it, or perhaps a tall glass of beer
–a quiet afternoon to whip this up !
Gauge:
16 stitches and 12 rows in 4 inches square in stockinette stitch
