  • “This is a “Superb” Oatmeal cookie recipe. They are a melt in your mouth cookie. Very good ! Gave my oldest ‘truck-driver’ son some to take on a run and now the rest of the truckers at his workplace want me to make more.I would say that is a mighty good compliment for any recipe: )grammajune”

  • “Chewy and delicious, with just the right blend of spices.Better than my mom’s!!!!”

  • “Very good! A nice lightly spiced cookie that has a tender-crisp texture (crisp edges and tender middle). I made exactly according to recipe (except I used all margarine) and I added 1/2 cup walnuts. Cooking time was about 13 minutes for me and I got 27 large cookies. I’m uploading a picture too!”

  • “Rock on! Awesome cookie and I don’t normally like oatmeal raisin.”

  • “I used a little bit more flour, that made the dough a little thicker.Otherwise a great recipe. I will be making this again.”

  • “I should have read several of the other comments before making these cookies.I had to throw away over half of the recipe because they were a gooey mess. Added a 1/4 cup to what was left and they were nice. I chose this recipe because of the spices that I remember In a recipe I had.”

  • “I had the same problem as love4culinary.I ended up adding 1/3 c flour and decreasing the bake time to 11 min.It took a few tries, but they finally came out just right.Very tasty.”

  • “Very good!Just like how they’re supposed to taste!! I’ve tried many over the years and they just don’t ‘have it’, but this one is IT!”

  • “These are fabulous cookies, however I had to add about 1/3 cup more flour to the recipe. My first batch, 12 cookies, had to be tossed because the batter was too thin and they were a flat, mucky mess.I added a bit more flour through experience, and they were just fine.Im not at a higher altitude nor am I in higher humidity so Im not sure what could have been the problem…. but thats okay. They were fabulous after the small addition of flour. 🙂 I love to pop them into the micro now to make them warm and realllly soft 🙂 Thanks for the recipe!”

  • “I don’t personally like oatmeal cookies but my BH LOVES them.I made these up for him and he said they were the best he ever had.”

  • “Best I ever cooked.I didn’t have shortning so I used all butter, didn’t have enough raisens so I added dried cranberries, and added chopped walnuts.Thank you for this recipe”

  • “Different than the typical oatmeal rasin cookie, but it’s still good!Mine were a little bit bigger, so they took at least 12minutes to cook.Don’t forget to lightly grease the pan.”

  • “I have been looking for the perfect oatmeal cookie recipe. This is it!!! They are perfect. Just as described, crisp but chewy. I used quick oats because that is what I had on hand and I used milk chocolate chips instead of raisons. They are delicious. Thanks for this recipe!!!”

  • “Very good, I shortened the bake time to eleven minutes (I like a very soft oatmeal cookie) and used mini chocolate chips in place of raisins for my kids. Will make this again!”

  • “Crunchy and chewy at the same time with a perfect combination of spices to flavor them. This is the best Oatmeal Cookie recipe I’ve ever tried.”

  • “This was a very good recipe!I didn’t have the corn syrup so I substituted w/maple syrup. Also, I added 1/4 tsp Cloves and 1/2 tsp Allspice, since I love the taste it gives… yummy!! Thanks!”

  • “I made these for my BF who always has to have the store-bought oatmeal cookies. He was eating these faster than I could replace them in the cookie jar! They have a light/crispy/chewy texture and a great flavor. My BF does not care for raisins so I omitted them from the recipe. I’m sure I will be making these again. I feel better knowing these cookies don’t have the preservatives that the ones from the store do. Thanks!”

  • “Wow.What wonderful cookies.I used all whole wheat flour and they turned out great! My housemates didn’t even know they’re marginally nutritional!”

  • “Very good crisp but chewy.”
