Our Fall Beauty Resolutions

Our Fall Beauty Resolutions

The shift is subtle, until we’re suddenly acutely aware: Crumpled leaves litter the ground, school buses begin their early morning rumble, and apples, squash, and dark leafy greens start their farmer’s market takeover. Yes, a new season is on the not-too-distant horizon and as the weather slowly shifts, so do our daily routines.

With vibrant colors bursting from the trees and crisp air flowing through our windows, autumn is the perfect time to add a new element to your beauty regimen, whether it’s a time-tested favorite, or a completely new resolution. Curious as to how others plan to change up their look come fall, I asked around. Check out what some of our home office girls (including myself) had to say below:

Personally, while I love keeping my makeup fresh and barely-there throughout the warmer months, I look forward to experimenting with more dramatic looks come fall. In shades of deep oxblood, black, and silvery grey, I’m excited to break out my dark and moody lip colors again.

To keep the bold pigment from drying my lips, I make sure to condition them with jojoba oil or coconut oil at night, and in the morning before lining them with a clear lip liner, which prevents the color from feathering. Also, pro tip: If you like the black lipstick look, make it even more dramatic by lining your lips with black eyeliner.

“I’m looking forward to top buns <3 My hair tangles easily, so it’s hard to wear it down in the fall and winter when I wear thick scarves and jackets.”

Chrissy

“I’m really looking forward to metallic eye-shadow shades this fall. I am very “Lou” with my style and I love having an element in my makeup that makes me a little more girly!”

Jana

“Looking good on the outside all starts with what we are putting inside of our body. As the fall creeps around, colder temps will start to dry out our skin. Drinking a lot of water is the easiest way to keep it looking moisturized, and to keep a healthier appearance overall. I definitely lacked in my H2O intake over the summer, so fall will be my catch up season.”
