  • “2 cloves of chopped garlic added to the mushrooms would give a nice flavour. Also I would add 250g shaved, light ham to keep it low fat. Some cherry tomotoes would add some colour to this dish also. Now you have my recipie.”

  • “This recipe is delicious! I added some garlic, as I have a hard time cooking without it. Warning: Do NOT omit the mushroom. I did, because my DH doesn’t like them – and the flavor definitely suffered. I added them back in with the leftovers, and realized how necessary they are in the recipe.”

  • “Super great recipe for leftover ham! I love that’s it’s low-cal. I used 2 cloves of garlic, and 10oz of mushrooms and pasta. Next time I’ll add some sherry to the mushrooms. Note to future self: don’t add salt until you taste because the ham is salty. Thanks for the keeper!”

  • “I made this with leftover ham after Christmas. We had company over, and thank goodness I made 1.5 times the recipe. Everyone had seconds – even the kids! I think some might have even sneaked thirds. Everyone complimented the dish for its heartiness. This was a very tasty recipe, and one I’ll make again. Thanks for sharing a great recipe!”

  • “Great choice for using up leftover ham without all the dairy in most ham medleys.I used 2 cups of chopped ham, 8 oz. of mushrooms and 8 oz. of pasta.I also added 2 cloves of garlic as suggested by some of the other reviewers.Good flavor, quick and easy to put together and serve.”

  • “A nice, quick and easy dinner for a weeknight and I was able to use up bits of leftover meats. I had 4.5 ounces of leftover ham and 5.5 ounces of leftover smoked turkey sausage, so I used that for the meat. Minced 3 very large cloves of garlic and added that with the onions. Doubled the onions (1 cup) and the peas (2 cups) and used 8 ounces of ziti. Very tasty and the family enjoyed it. I will make again. There was a bit of broth in the bottom of the pan, so I served it in bowls. We got 8 servings.Nice, healthy and low-cal, too.”

  • “Pretty good. Fast and easy to make. Felt it needed a little more spice or something, cant put my finger on it. But it was very good. Will make again. Thank you!”

  • “This was delicious. I added 2 cloves of garlic as we are garlic lovers. I also used leftover ham (and leftover pasta). Wonderful, quick meal.”

  • “This was a very good & very satisfying meal, especially considering this is a lowfat dish.I really enjoyed the combination of ingredients – the chicken broth really gave the sauce a nice flavor and the vegetables were very colorful. This was also very economical.I used leftover chunks of ham instead of the canned ham. Thanks for a delightful family dinner!”
