Peanut Butter Playdough
About This Recipe
“This treat can serve as edible play dough (just make sure the kiddies wash their hands before playing with it). Children can mold and shape while eating it. It’s a great after school snack. Store extra portions in plastic bags in refrigerator or freezer.”

“I enjoyed making this so much when I was a child and I am so excited to find the recipe here so that I can share it with my daughters! This is so fun to make, shape, and then, of course, EAT! It really tastes great. An alternative is to mix in rice crispies. When I was little, we didn’t add the powdered milk, but I do like this as a healthier version — the kids won’t even know it!”
“Not recommended for infants under 12 months due to peanuts having allergenic potential.”
“Made this with the kids, great summer boredom buster and it smells (and tastes!) way better than Play-Doh! Just be careful not to get it on clothes, the peanut butter will leave a grease stain. Also FYI, honey is safe for children over 1 year. Under one year cannot have it b/c it is not pasteurized and therefore small risk of botulism.”
“Do Not give to children Under 3!Due to Peanut allergies Most Dr.s will tell you Any child under 3 shouldnt have peanut butter. And Honey isnt allowed, as the Other raters have posted, until children are 1 year old.Shouldnt be Posted in Infants and Babies Category IMOSounds Like fun though Might try it with My 3 year old soon :)”
“OK, So I haven’t really tried this but I have to say…since this is aimed towards kids, in case someone isn’t aware. Kids under 2 cannot have honey. It might even be 3 but definitely 2.”
“Easy and fun!The dough worked up well.I found I needed a little bit of honey to get the PB and the sugar to mix smoothly, but mixing in the honey and then the powdered milk were very easy by hand.Be sure to use a fine powdered milk for smoothest consistency!(ps, I tried to spell out “Hi Mirj!” for the photo… but that didn’t work. lol)”
