“Yummy! And very quick & easy. The lemon gave it a nice fresh taste. The only chnage I made was to substitute diced jalapenos for the red pepper flakes and at the end added a handful of baby spinach.”
“Wonderful and easy. Love your recipes, MizzNezz! I used precooked shrimp, quickly heating them through. Served w/stir fry veggies.”
“This was just great.I have never had the combination of shrimp and potatoes in the same dish and this turned out to be a wonderful combination. My only substitutions were lime juice instead of lemon and cayenne pepper instead of red pepper flakes.Thank you for a terrific recipe!”
“MizzNezz you did it again, another great recipe.I did cut the oil down to 1 Tbsp because I’m watching my fat intake.I sauted the potatoes in cooking spray and used the oil for sauting the shrimp.I also didn’t have any red pepper flakes on hand so I used a little bit of Cajun seasoning and it turned out great.I will make this again when I want something different for dinner.I made this with a tossed salad and corn on the cob and it was a very light meal. Thanks again MizzNezz.”
“Wow, what a great recipe. I made two minor changes to take advantage of what I had on hand — fresh coriander (cilantro) in place of parsley and a finely chopped red chilli in place of the flakes. This is going in to my 100-star cookbook! Thanks for posting.”
“i uses medium size shrimp. but i like shrimp”
“Yummy!!DH wasn’t sure about mixing potatoes and shrimp, but he loved it!He doesn’t like spicy, so I left out the red pepper. We don’t eat a lot of salt, so I only added about 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the browning potatoes and none to the rest of the dish.I also added 2 handfuls of fresh spinach at the end for a one-dish meal.Definately a keeper!Thank you!”
“Excellent recipe!I added a ton more garlic (we love garlic) and I only had chipotle seasoning instead of red pepper flakes, it was delicious!I also added broccoli florets and plenty of lemon juice to go around. My hubby loved it and said this one is a keeper! Thanks!!”
“amazed that this has never occurred to me before! Not only was it really tasty but it was a nice surprise for the folks at the dinner table.definitely goes into the 99 ways to have shrimp book.”
“Very easy to prepare dish. I par cooked the potatoes in the microwave and fried them in half the oil. I sauteed the shrimp in a bit of butter instead of the oil. As with another reviewer, I added the zest of the lemon I was juicing. Lemons are expensive here and don’t want to let them go to waste just for the juice. Do not like heat, so left the peppers out.:)”
“Amazing and easy!Used butter to cook the shrimp.”
“The family loved this!I boiled the potatoes until nearly tender before proceeding with the recipe; that way they only needed about 12 minutes for browning.I added lemon zest along with the lemon juice to the dish.We thought the flavor was perfect and it’s a nice difference from shrimp and pasta.Great!”
“Simply fantastic! Thank you.”
“2/9/08 Just ate this for dinner. My 4 year olds LOVED it.I reduced the amount of Oil to 2 tablespoons.I cooked the potatoes first in 2 table spoons of Olive Oil in a Non Stick Pan and I used the remaining oil in the pan to cook the shrimp etc.I also microwaved the potatoes after the saute for 2 mins on high to be sure they were cooked through.this is a definite keeper.Thank you for posting”
“this was so tasty!the “flavors” were delicious and could even make it with all shrimp or all potatoes also. When I removed potatoes to keep warm they were still not quite done and finished them in microwave. I halved the salt as I hate something oversalted knowing you cant go back.Garlic was the crushed jar kind and used 1/2 Tablespoon and parsley was the dried type. Thankyou it was great.”
“This is 100% perfect.Hubby and I ate an entire skillet’s worth.Even our 11 month old thought the taters were delicious.”
“This turned out to be a delicious and quick after-work dinner. I followed the recipe pretty closely, though I used larger shrimp and a Meyer lemon for the lemon juice. Will definitely make this again.”
