RARE !! Madame Alexander / Grey House Creations Twin Bed and Original Bedding in Play Scale-EXCELLENT! by TheToyBox

This adorable little light pink twin bed was made for the Alexander Doll Company in 1954-56. It was among the first lines of furniture made for the popular 8 & quot; & quot; dolls and was referred to as the & quot; Start-A-Home For Alexander-kins & quot; & quot; collection. It was actually produced by a home market known as Grey House Creations. This line was sold by the Alexander Doll Company, FAO Schwarz and other fine stores. It is extremely rare and hard to discover on the market today.

The bed remains in EXCELLENT vintage condition with very little dings and just minor paint loss along edges. The light pink paint is still in great shape without any crazing and the little decal at headboard is best condition with no chips. No wobbles and sits sturdy and sound. The bed linen includes the bed mattress covered in an adorable little blue flowered print which is stapled to the bottom of the bed. This is still in exceptionally good condition without any rips, tears or stains! The ‘bedspread’ is a piece of off-white textured cotton with collaborating blue flowers/ green leaves. This has 2 teensy tiny little pen point marks on it however nothing offending or too visible. The pillow matches the bedspread and both are completed in the pinking shear edge cut which follows the method Mrs. Scova, wife of John Scova and developer of Grey Home Creations furnishings, finished some of her pieces.
