Rocky Road Fudge Bars
About This Recipe
“This is a recipe from my soon to be Mother in Law. It’s a family favorite that I made for the first time with rave reviews. I’ve been told it was originally a Pillsbury Bake-Off recipe.”

“I didn’t think it was possible to make cream cheese brownies any better, but this recipe does my adding the frosting. These were rich, very chocolatey, but not OVERLY sweet.Yum. I’ll make these again.”
“I have made these before and they are fantastic! I don’t make them that often or I would be rolling out the door. My kids don’t like nuts to well and I leave them out and they still are just great!”
“WOW is the best way to describe these bars.Everyone loved them – I didn’t get one when I made them to take to church! The cream cheese really makes these special and keeps them moist. The steps are many but easy.I refrigerated them after they cooled so the marshmallow/chocolate topping would set & cut better. Will make again and again – thanks for such a good recipe!”
“Thank you so much for posting this recipe. My grandma used to make these for us when we were in elementary school. She even made them as cupcakes for my birthday one year. I was so excited to find the recipe again. Thanks again!”
“I doubled the bottom layer to get a thicker bar and mistakingly left the chocolate chips out of the cream cheese filling. They are great while still warm but are AMAZING after they’ve cooled and set. Growing up, Mom made these a Christmas time staple. It was wonderful to have the smell of my childhood wafting from my oven. :)”
“Yummm yummm, I followed the recipe exactly and they turned out soo nice with all their sticky gooey goodness…. everyone in the house thought they were beautiful….will definately be making these again and again…. thankyou soo much for shareing”
“This is so yummy!I made it and my whole family loves it…even my dad who denies liking chocolate…hee hee.It is a bit sweet so I would probably cut out a bit of the sugar next time I make it.It was also really sticky so we had to eat it with forks…kind of like a cake. But it still deserves 5 stars.”
“Oh my gosh! These were delectable!!I used fat free cream cheese (for lack of any regular cream cheese at the store), and they turned out wonderfully! I also had to use regularly sized marshmallows. My family ate them in a flash! Great recipe and I will definitely make them again! I just wish they were around long enough that I could have gotten a photo to post! Thanks so much for this awesome treat!”
“Super recipe!! I thought they were even better the next day (not that there was much left!!) I used pecans in the bars, but omitted the nuts in the filling.Very tasty!! “
“These freeze beautifully!”
“You are correct, these are a Pillsbury Bake Off recipe, I haven’t made them in YEARS, but they are spectacular! Sweet? Yes! Rich? Yes! Absolutely sinful! I use mini chocolate in the filling so they are easier to cut. Thanks for the reminder, these WILL be on my cookie tray this year.”
“Sinfully good!!I almost felt guilty taking this dessert to a church social. I have made it twice and wouldn’t change a thing. Very easy to make. I have had several requests for a copy of the recipe.”
“None of us really cared for these. We all agreed that they are extremely over-sweetened, to the point that they are pretty much inedible. If I did decide to ever make these again I would cut down the sugars drastically and halve the icing. There are4 1/2 cups of sugar in these, which I didn’t think about until after I tasted one.”
“These bars are wonderful! The bottom layer is thick and rich, and the frosting is great! Will make many times!Thankyou!”
