This splashy birthday card is letterpress printed in bright yellow and pink making orange where the colors overlap. Each card is elaborately overprinted to produce a 3rd layer of color from the two base colors. A hand lettered & quot; & quot; Delighted Birthday & quot; continues to be in brilliant white and bulges. The white letters are raised, since they are in fact the area of the paper that was not printed – just the brilliant colors make an impression into the paper. There are some charming things going on here texturally with the overprinting and the raised lettering that show off some of exactly what letterpress can do like no other
