This extremely thick and soft beret is knit entirely in the round on round needles (and possibly double- pointed needles when stitches are decreased for crown). The pattern uses only knit and purl stitches and is easy enough for a starting knitter prepared to try something beyond a scarf or dishcloth. It would also be an enjoyable project for a knitting class or group to attempt. It is a one size fits most and is fairly stretchy however retains its shape and is extremely comfy to put on.
