  • Reviews

  • “I’m very impressed with this simple, yet scrumptious dish.I make it with splenda (sugar substitute) to cut down on the carbs and it tastes great. A hit with everyone I’ve served it to. I’ve made it about 4 times now with granny’s, fuji’s, red delicious and braeburn apples and each time it’s turned out well.”

  • “This is simply DELISH!!!I will be making this on a regular basis.Thank you for posting!”

  • “Here’s proof that sometimes less really is more. Very easy to make, this is the perfect dessert to finish a big, hearty meal, because it’s so light and yet so full of flavor! I particularly liked that the topping stayed so crunchy – it was a nice contrast with the tender apples. Thanks for sharing this recipe!”

  • “This was so simple that at first I was not sure it would taste good but oh was I wrong. It is great and very easy to make. Will be making again and again!!”

  • “Simply “down home” good.”

  • “This recipe is simple and delicious.I like the fact that this dessert is made with ingredients most of us already have around the kitchen. There was a lot of crumb topping, so I ended up putting some on the bottom of the pan.It worked out very well…I’ll be making this one again!”

  • “Great recipe ! I used two Granny Smith apples, and three MacIntosh. The only change I made to this recipe was to add only half a cup of sugar since we don’t like things too sweet! The end result was delicious! Thanks for this easy and tasty recipe!”

  • “This recipe is YUM, YUM, good!!!The only issue we had is we should have doubled the recipe. We made this to leave on the fireplace for Santa and he hate the whole thing–didn’t leave a drop!!!!He must have really liked it because he usually only takes a couple bites of his cookies. Thanks!”

  • “This was wonderful. I didn’t find it to be too sweet or too buttery. I used three granny smith apples and two golden delicious. It was so good I ate the leftovers for lunch the next day (there were only enough leftovers for one small serving). I definitely plan on making this again. It is a keeper.”

  • “This is more like an apple crumble to me.I think this is the english version and the American version has oatmeal. The English serve it with custard. Delicious, I prefer it to the one with oatmeal.”
