Perfect for the renaissance fair, civil war reenactments, dance costumes or just keeping your hair off your face and out of the way. A circle of elastic holds the snood securely in location; I wear a plain one for motorcycle rides and it completely fixes the tangled hair trouble.
This snood is a pretty soft blue with a timeless netted design. Fits 21-22″ head circumference and shoulder to mid back length hair.
I crochet these myself using 100 % cotton thread (not yarn), which is lighter and cooler than synthetic yarns. Easy to look after, just hand wash and stretch over a supper plate to dry.
How the snood drapes depends upon how long, thick and heavy your hair is. Mine is fairly long and thick, however likewise rather great so not very heavy. If you take a look at the copper mist noting my good friend’s hair is down to her waist and much heavier so the snood strikes her lower on the neck. They have some stretch to them so adjust for different hair kinds. Most of the listings are for a basic length however if you’re after a specific appearance longer snoods are offered as custom-made orders, simply send me a message;-)
