I have repurposed a cute vintage button to create this ring; it was an old celluloid one, made of a black domed disc, on which was carved an off-white simple flower. Celluloid is an early plastic, very hard and lightweight, now almost only used for ping-pong balls. It has a soft surface and a nice color. I have fixed the upcycled button on a silver toned adjustable base, to make this unusual, lovely and versatile ring.

J’ai reconverti un joli bouton ancien pour créer cette bague; c’était un ancien modèle en celluloïd, fait d’un disque bombé noir, sur lequel est sculptée en relief une fleur toute simple en blanc cassé. Le celluloïd est un plastique ancien, très dur et léger, qu’on n’utilise pratiquement plus que pour les balles de ping-pong aujourd’hui. Sa surface est douce et ses coloris sont délicats. J’ai fixé le bouton recyclé sur un support couleur argent, réglable, pour faire cette bague originale, adorable et facile à porter.
