  • “I totally disagree with the last comment. My family has used a similar recipe for spaghetti and loves it.We are not in culinary school here we are just sharing recipes. If you have what you think is a better recipe submit it but I think the last comments were snobbish and petty.”

  • “LOL you have to love these snobs who are “Culinary Experts”..TRUE Spaghetti Sauces with meat Simmer For HOURS and HOURS with the meat , this is what gives the sauce a great flavor..This recipe is perfectly fine for a simple sauce. To be honest, if you are a “Culinary Expert” you should have your own Spaghetti Sauce recipe anyhow, and have no need to try any other’s..I cannot even imagine how horrible your sauce must taste if you throw the meat in so close to serving…Great, Simple, Tasty Recipe Tina!”

  • “This was excellent!Super easy to make & let simmer while making salad dressing & pasta. The only changes I made were to add 1/4 of a leftover onion & use a yellow pepper instead of green (what I had on hand). Thanks for a great spaghetti dinner, Tina!:)”

  • “Excellent recipe-thank you!”

  • “This a great and easy recipe. My wholefamily loved it! The only thing I did different was add one onion. Thanks Tina.”

  • “Would have given it five stars but my children haven’t tasted it yet. It is a perfect and easy sauce to make.I only added a couple of tablespoons of ketchup to sweeten it up for the kids but I think I will never use canned store bought sauce again.Bravo!”

  • “great recipe, I used mine in a lasagna and it was simple and yummy, my whole family loved it. I will make this instead of using jar sauce from now on! thanks for a great recipe”

  • “Great and super easy to fix up. My family is picky about chunks of stuff in the sauce, so I can easily adjust this recipie to fit the needs of their taste. Very flavorfull!”

  • “I added onion and mushrooms to the sauce. But I must say that this is a winner. My mother-in-law told me that it is as good as her mother’s. So that in itself tells me it is a keeper.”

  • “I was looking for a quick spaghetti sauce recipe and found this one, so I used it as a base. I didn’t have any tomato paste, ground beef or a can of tomatoes, so it turned out kinda liquidy, but the spices were just right. Thanks for helping.”

  • “I make this recipe alot since it is easy and versatile. The only difference in my sauce is that I omit the green peppers since my DH and DD don’t care for that.I frequently add some mushrooms and onions for variety. Also, if I am out of tomato paste, I will substitute a similar amount of ketchup. Thanks, Tina, for submitting this easy, cheap, versatile, and delicious recipe! “

  • “I would have to say that this was okay recipe.I can kind use some ingredients and some I took out or use little bit more or less. But everybody has their own taste. So thanks for a great idea about a new recipe. BJJ”

  • “This was a good quick sauce. I had everything on hand except the green pepper. I would probably use less oregano next time but that’s just personal preference.I made meatballs instead of adding ground beef. This is a great weeknight sauce.”

  • “I don’t agree with the low feedback. This is a great recipe. It is simple and has a very good taste. I’m not one who cares too much for sausage so the hamburger meat is perfect. Thanks Tina for submitting this!”

  • “this spaghetti sauce was very yummy.it was my first time making homemade sauce and it was so easy!i actually added a can of diced tomatoes, and a can of tomato sauce — let it simmer for about an hour and then mixed it together with some noodles put it in a casserole dish sprinkled cheese on top and baked it at 425 degrees until the cheese was bubbly..mmmmmm yummy”

  • “We enjoyed this sauce very much.It was fast and rather easy to prepare, yet still a satisfying, tasty sauce. However, I did need to add some extra garlic and salt (none is called for in the recipe), as the sauce is not highly seasoned.NOTE: I did know what size cans to use – I used a small tomato paste can (I think they are 6 oz) and for the chopped tomato and the tomato sauce I used the medium size cans (I think they are around 14.5 oz. each) These amounts seemed to work out nicely for me and are what I would use again next time.”

  • “Sad to see people misinformed. Ground meat cooked with marinara leaves little but meat and tomato taste.Add the meat later, letting the sauce simmer enough to develop flavor. Use italian sausage, fried in small chunks, not hamburger, and more oregano. This recipe has little use except for a rank novice.”
