“This tasted so good! Instead of oats I used bread crumbs, which tasted pretty good.Next time I think I need to drain the frozen spinach a little more, because it was still a littlerunny after the 45 min of baking. Thanks for the recipe, it’s great!”
“Fantastic recipe. My husband loved it!Great flavor and the carrots & spinach add great color.Thank you!”
“I’m looking forward to trying this. It sounds delicious!Karin.”
“This sounds delicious, I am going to try it tonight! Thank you. Lynn Remmers – Australia.”
“I tried this recipe and everyone in my family thought it was good. But the only thing that I had to change about the recipe was the baking time…for my oven at 350 it took 1 hr 15 min for it to be completely done.”
“I made this last night and it was incredible.I altered it a little, I used 2lbs of ground turkey and added 1 can of salsa, reduced milk to 1/8 cup.seeing other reviews, I made sure I squeezed all the liquid out of the spinach.Family Raved!!”
“This meatloaf is very good– especially since I usually don’t like meatloaf at all!The extra veggies really help!Due to allergies, I subbed tapioca flour for the oats and wheat germ and soy milk for cow milk. The first time I accidentially added the steak sauce to the mix.It helped keep the meatloaf moist, so I’ve continued doing that. Also, we tried freezing the raw mix and baking it later. It came out fine.”
“My whole family enjoyed this meatloaf. It was wonderfull.I had no problem with it being wet nor dry.As a matter of fact I doubled the recipe to have one for another day.I used fresh spinach that I cooked covered in microwave for 4 mins then squeezed out excess water. To one meatloaf I added 5 diced mushrooms I had to use up.I cooked my meatloafs in bread pans.Thank you so much for this great and healty recipe for we will use it many times in the future.”
“I was very excited to try this recipe because it looked like on of those recipes that was too helathy to actually taste good, but the reviews seemed to say otherwise. My 2 toddlers and I LOVED this!! It really was delicious, and I will be making it again in the future. We ate almost half the loaf and put the rest in the freezer, so I hope it is just as good reheated. The only problem I had with the recipe is mine took nearly an hour and a half at 400 degrees before it was finally cooked through. I chopped the carrots (leaving the peels on) with my KitchenAid chopper and used my kitchen sheers to cut up the spinach into smaller pieces. Came out perfect and not dry at all despite the lengthy cooking time. I had mine with A1, and the kids had their’s with Ketchup. I Served this with homemade mashed potatoes. Thanks for a great recipe!”
“I made this for dinner a few nights ago, and my family enjoyed it even though it was a little on the dry side.I will make it again in the future, but next time I will watch the cooking time – I probably overcooked it.Thanks for a good recipe.”
“I doubled this wonderful recipe and made two of these pretty loaves, one to serve and one to freeze. The aroma while cooking was heavenly, and they tasted quite good too. I did not have any steak sauce so we used the usual… Ketchup.I have steak sauce now for the second one when I serve it again. The only change I would make is that even while I purchased “chopped” frozen spinach, it still needs to be chopped smaller. The long strands made the meatloaf hard to cut into slices.”
“My family loved this meatloaf, even my 89 year old Dad.It was filling, even better the next day, almost a dish in it’s self.We just put a fruit and salad with it!”
“I found this to be very tasty and had the added benefit of being healthy as well”
“A very tasty meatloaf.A few ingredients were improvised.I thought Iâd taken minced beef out of the freezer, but it proved to pork/veal mince (which is great for meatballs or meatloaf) so I used that!I subbed breadcrumbs for the oats and, in addition to the listed ingredients, I added about 2 cups of mushrooms (I had heaps of mushrooms on hand!) and a generous sprinkling of several herbs: parsley, marjoram, thyme and sage.I used 1 large brown onion & 4 cloves of garlic: in all about I cup after mincing. And as I didnât have any steak sauce, I followed the instructions for when to add this and used oyster sauce. The result was a very moist and flavoursome loaf, which we ate with Sherrie-pieâs delicious Garlic Mushrooms Recipe #148837.I especially loved the spinach in this meatloaf.Everyone enjoyed this meatloaf, especially my mother who is very particular about which ones she likes! Thanks for sharing this recipe!”
“A little bland.”
“A very good meatloaf recipe with added fiber and vegetables. We used half beef and half ground turkey as that was what we had.We needed to let it cook much longer then 45 minutes, though. It made great cold sandwhiches for the next few days!”
“We made this last night the flavors were great but after reading I added a little hot sauce maybe six shakes. it turned out great. very nice recipe.”
“I don’t know if I did something wrong or my taste buds weren’t working, but I found this to be too bland for me. It looked good and is no doubt healthier than most meatloaves but I just did not get the taste out of it I wanted.Maybe I just need the fat!!!??”
“I am going to try this recipe tonight.I found everyone’s comments helpful, to make a decision which meatloaf recipe I would try.Thx!!!”
