Square Button with a high gloss metallic raku glaze over a woven fabric texture. Great blue, gold, violet flashing effects.
Handmade artisan button. Buttons can be purchased from this group, first come-first serve, as a single system or sets. I will attempt to match as best as possible unless asked for not to.
29mm sq. 6mm thick Holes 1/8 & quot; & quot; Will accommodate thick yarn.

Although my buttons are washable, it’s best if you either hand wash the garment or turn it completely and air dry.
If garment is to be dry-cleaned or gentle-cycle washed, buttons must be covered in krinkly tin foil or button protectors.

About Raku:
When the kiln reaches 1850 degrees, the red hot pieces are gotten rid of from the kiln and placed into a barrel of paper, straw, sawdust which instantly sparks. The barrel is then firmly covered and the work is enabled to smoke for a period.
Raku is so trans-formative. The glaze resembles copper with green-blue patina highlights along with numerous other colors. Really painted by fire and smoke. The crackles are part of the rustic raku surface area and not malfunctioning.
