I produced a body of work making use of stones with scenes familiar to me and near my heart. This is among the pieces of this & quot; & quot; native & quot; series. Brown yards cloak the hills in the summertime triggering the shapes of the saddles and spinal columns to appear like the toplines of huge, brown, resting canines.
This is one of those image jaspers from the Owyhee Desert, that portray the scene from its origin, this one is from Idaho. I created a frame for the stone that looks vintage like one you may see surrounding a cameo however this one encircles an arid mountain scene. I made an elegant connector, another vintage style aspect, to include a bit of femininity to the piece. A Scrub Jay dangles a little hugely from completion of the chain that contains my makers mark. All of us know how bold and often extravagant that little corvid can be and why I enjoy them so.
