Am in the midst of moving home and packing up and found (another) stash of tie silks I ‘d squirrelled away and had forgotten about. Due to storage constraints, I am offering them up for sale.
Medium weight tie silk with a crisp hand. Bright candy pink. One piece measures 1/4 yard (25cm) by 28 & quot; (70cm) wide – buy 2 or more items and receive a continuous piece (ie buy 4 items and receive a continuous 1 yard / metre piece).

Luscious, highest quality silk brocade woven at centuries-old silk mills in Sudbury, England. Unlike most other brocades for sale in fabric shops, this brocade is 100% pure silk – many other ‘silk’ brocades sold are actually a blend of silk & rayon.
Acquired from one of the historical silk mills in Sudbury, England. The mill has been weaving silk in Sudbury since the 18th century and produces fabrics for high end British mens neckwear designers as well as fabrics for haute couture designers. Michelle Obama has been spotted in outfits made from silk woven by the mill and they also supplied silk fabrics for a number of the royal outfits worn at the wedding of Prince William & Kate MIddleton, as well as silks for many of the regimental and other ties being worn on that day.
These are sample pieces or end of production left overs and will not be found in your local fabric store.
Pictures do not do the fabric justice, as they fail to pick up the shimmering quality … my customers always exclaim how much better they are in real life than compared to photographs.
