A very enjoyable cowl! This cowl includes a commerical yarn that I hand colored in a shade of turquoise. The commerical yarn is 70 % Merino, 20 % Alpaca, 10 % Silk. This cowl also includes handspun art yarn! The art yarn I spun using US Grown Merino wool, United States Grown Alpaca, Silk, US Grown Children Mohair locks, and some silver angelina glimmer.
The cowl is 7.5 inches high and 22 inches long!

This is the process to make this cowl:
Wash Fleece to obtain rid of Lanolin and Suint (sheep sweat!). Washing needs using incredibly warm water and a special soap. It takes 3 2 washes and rinses to get the fleece good and clean! You have to be gentle too while cleaning else felting can occur!
Next I colored the fiber in shades of green, blue, turquoise, and purple.
I then carded the fiber on my drum carder.
Then I spin the fiber on my Louet s10 spinning wheel.
Last but not least I knit the cowl!
I do not use a knitting device. I utilize my circular needles!
A great deal of time goes into knitting these!
